My oldest is in kindergarten, we live in a very nice neighborhood. Today after he was in school I received a call about a bomb threat in his school.
He's home, we pulled him out of school for today.
It's just so sad and sick and demented that this happened.
Not to mention stressful as he was transferred to a school 3 miles away

Omg, that is horrible! I remember hearing about schools being closed for that in California not long ago.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the size of the town or how nice the neighborhood is. Just last month in Harrisburg, South Dakota (small town, although right outside Sioux Falls), a 16-year-old kid walked right in and shot the principal (not fatally). And there have been bomb threats in the tiny rural towns too, although if they feel the threat is some stupid kid trying to get attention, they won't fully evacuate, just put everything on lockdown/red alert.
