I`m new to this group and I have a question. I know I need to get her into the vet but I can`t do anything for a few days. I was wondering if anybody might have experienced this with their cat and might have some advice. My cat "Simby" had a window close on her paw a little while ago. It is swollen some and she is putting weight on it and walking, but I know she`s hurting. One of her nails seem to be pushed into the pad on her foot, but I`m not sure if it`s not just from the swelling. There is no blood. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to help her?? Thanks!

Unless it is bleeding, I would wait a few days.My cat had an injured back paw. She was limping, not eating and hiding under bed. After 2 days, she is much better. Probably badly bruised.Just like humans, it takes time
to heal.

If she is going to get better on her own, she should be significantly better within 24-48 hours of the injury.  If there are broken bones, the longer you wait to treat, the more chance there is that she might not heal properly, and worst case (which I doubt, given what you described, but even so...) loose the leg to amputation due to infection and/or inability to properly align any small broken bones.  So...if she's not all better by tomorrow morning, get to a vet.
