Please help. Regardless of input or thoughts, I'm going to vet her as soon as I can. My daughters cat became I'll this morning. She's always active, 10 months old, utd on shots. She's an indoor outdoor cat. Has been inside x4 days due to weather. She's got good weight on her. This is what I saw this morning. Other signs I see are fast heart rate, warm nose, sticky tounge, saliva like glue, lots of drooling, not foam. Sleeping a lot. No desire to eat or drink. She doesn't seem to have any respiratory issues, no raspy breathing. Gums are pink. Please help me with suggestions? I'm not looking for a diagnosis because as I said, regardless she will be seen by a vet. My daughter will be home soon, I dunno what to tell her :'( also any low income low cost vets or vets that take payments?

I live in texas

When can you get her to the vet? I personally don't recognize that group of symptoms but maybe someone else will. Still we can't diagnose over the Internet and none of us are vets so you might not get an answer. One thing I have to wonder about - did she eat anything she shouldn't have?

I totally get the worry over expense. Not being in Texas, I don't know any low cost vets but you can certainly call around and find out what everyone charges for an office visit. It's worth checking on-line for reviews, too. The cheapest is not always the best.

Hope you can get your girl to the vet ASAP. [emoji]128077[/emoji]

The symptoms you describe sound quite serious and I'm wondering if she may have ingested poison.  I really do think you're going to have to take her to the vet right away or risk losing her.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Yeah, I'm thinking poison of some sort too, especially with the drool the way it is. Were you able to get her to a vet?

Check for a local 24 hour vet ER here: http://www.veccs.org/facility-directory/ Many will offer some form of financial help. Make it clear upfront and the vets will try their best to treat your cat without making the bill ridiculously expensive with tests that may not be crucial.

For future reference, the ASPCA has a 24 hour poison control hotline: (888) 426-4435 The web site has lists of common household and food dangers and toxins for cats.Take some time to read through the lists and check your entire house top to bottom and throw out or put into pet proof containers or behind locked doors anything that is potentially dangerous for a cat if ingested.

what part of Texas are you from? Maybe someone from that area can provide a recommendation.   When did she eat last? I hope she ok

some info that might help if funds are an issue http://www.thecatsite.com/t/155462/cant-afford-a-vet-please-read

Gulf coast.... Near robstown,..... I agree with the poisoning thing .... I have no idea though. We don't keep any kinda poison in the house for mice or bugs .... All cleaning products are put away. My daughter said she ate a blackberry last night??????

Some Human foods are harmful to cats and may cause similar symptoms as chemical poisoning. Here's a list of foods to avoid feeding to a pet: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/people-foods-avoid-feeding-your-pets Blackberries aren't hamrful to cats. Is there anything you can think that your cat might have ingested? Maybe take a walk thorugh theh house and look at things from the eye level of a cat? Any indoor plants? Some are toxic to cats if ingsted, even a small amount.

Here are some low cost vet clinics in your area: http://local.survivalinsight.com/Low_Cost_Vet_Care_Robstown_TX-p1710089-Robstown_TX.html Give each of them a call now and see if there is any information in the after hours voicemail message of who to call / where to go for emergencies.
