Yay; I put the right year without having to think about it!

What style socks do you prefer?

Silly question i know.  I prefer low cut socks (if I have to wear socks) or maybe ankle socks.  I have a few cute pairs of taller socks and dress ones; but that's it.

I found some very soft sport style socks from Fruit of the Loom last winter and I loved them!  So much I've already worn a hole in the heel of almost every one of them.  I got a similar style from Hanes in ankle socks for colder days. They just aren't as soft inside.
They were the same color; so I bought them on accident.

Our Walmart has been out of them for a while; so i went online to order some new low cut ones..  (I need the extended size for my big feet.)  When they got here; they had sent me crew cut.
I cannot stand crew cut socks!  I do have some tall wool socks for the winter; so I don't need everyday socks in that style.  So now I get to return them and see if they finally restocked the socks section in our local store.  If not; I'll have to try ordering online again.
Hopefully they have restocked because I'm getting tired of wearing holey socks!

I like Gold Toe black ankle socks for work and casual. And Gold Toe white ankle socks for walking. They really last.

Ankle socks or knee socks, depending on how cold it is. My current favourite brand is Braintree - gorgeously soft bamboo socks.

Kohl's sells them. If you have a Kohl's card, they will be having their monthly sale starting 1/14. The codes will be available next week for 30% off plus free shipping on any order. I always get the codes from a freebie website I belong to. I can post them when they become available if you want. 30% off makes them $9.80 for 3 pairs shipped instead of $14.00

Amazon has the same ones for $9.75 with free shipping over $35 or free if you have prime

Thanks Kat. Actually, I do use Kohl's a lot but last time I needed them they were out of stock.  On black socks! Crazy!

I finally found them elsewhere and bought like 20 pairs.  No joking LOL

Black crew socks.  Or trouser socks.  Nothing inbetween.  I do have three pairs of colored crew socks, one in pink, one in blue, and one in teal.  They match my different pajama sets (oh, all right...sweats and long sleeved tees in winter, short sleeved in summer) and I use them as slippers  For some reason, all of my printed tees have some combinations of those colors.

The longer, thicker and fluffier the better. It's so cold here. At the moment I've got a pair of Thinsulate ankle socks on under a pair of knee length fluffy socks and I'm all warm and toasty.

Black socks with red polka dots on today.

The ankle "no-show" socks, for sure. I specifically like the black Asics ankle socks. And yes, they have to be black, they are the only ones that are so soft and durable. I wore them when I trained for and did my 15K in 2014.

I have swollen ankles quite a bit, and sometimes even the leg itself (to this day I don't know why, it's been happening since I was 19), so anything higher than the "no-show" often cuts into my leg. Painful! So I have to make sure the tops are wide on the socks I get for work.

I like crew socks in different colors to match my jeans. For walking I like ankle socks.

I have always wished for a pair of cashmere socks, but never owned any.

Depends on the season
In the winter I wear thick wool or wool blend socks, either crew or knee high / boot type. In the warmer months I prefer low cut cotton socks.

In the summer, no-show ankle socks. The thick padded ones---the thin ones tend to slip off and wad up in my shoe. . .I hate that! I mostly wear socks at work; I much prefer to wear sandals whenever I can.

In the winter, midweight wool hiking socks. I don't like very thick socks but the thin ones aren't warm enough. And when there's no snow, I wear wool socks with sandals. And I don't care who doesn't like it! :lol3: :tongue2:

I don't really like socks at all!  I wish I could wear sandals year round, but unfortunately it gets way too cold for that here in the winter.

I love going barefoot!! I hate to wear shoes or slippers!

Most of the summer I am barefoot in the house and have sandals on when I go out...usually flip flops..

For Fall, it is clogs without socks. When it gets chilly, I will wear ankle socks, but still try to go without slippers.

Although my feet get cold easily, they sweat when they are enclosed in shoes or slippers. I am always doing the shoes/slippers on and off. When I visit people, I always take my shoes off!

I cannot tell you the number of times I have 'lost' a shoe!! it is funny...
