First let me say she is scheduled to be spayed on the 15th.

My baby girl Is showing signs of heat, I think.

Is there any thing I can do to help her?

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do, it just has to run it's course.   Cat's in heat can be real escape artists so be careful when opening a door.  Does the vet know that she is in heat?  Some vets prefer to wait a few days so they aren't in full heat when they are spayed.

Thank you so much. I will call the vet tomorrow to check she just started today.

That i the thing that makes me wonder if it's really heat. She doesn't try to get out at all when the door is opened she runs the other way, but she has always been scared of the out doors. She also only acts like this around my three year old son.

Really, there is nothing you can do, just have to wait it out. It can get annoying for us humans, for sure, but nothing like it is for our feline queens.

She is quite in heat from the looks of it! My Penelopy came into heat right after we brought her home from the shelter, and she didn't try to get out either. She just acted all slinky and coming on to my 7-month-old boys, who are both neutered, who were quite perplexed by how she was acting!

My Hazel just went into heat/got spayed too! And yep, that's heat. It should be OK to keep her appointment on the 15th---my vet says to spay 10-14 days after she starts calling so she's right on time.

@ilovecats61 If you're syringe feeding, talk to your vet about Hills a/d. It's a high calorie prescription food specifically designed for syringe feeding. It's vital you get enough nutrition into your boy. Cats are very prone to developing hepatic lipidosis if they don't get enough calories in.

I really hope your boy makes a quick and full recovery :vibes:

I know I am horrible asking all these questions. I couldn't get her spayed because of an issue with the voucher. Its taken care of but will be next month before I get her in. So when should I be expecting her next heat its been 19 days since this video. She started the day before that. Will she get another in the spring? I'm sorry it's the first time as an adult that I have owned one.

It really depends on the kitty.  It depends partly on what part of the country you are in,  kitties usually don't go into heat in the middle of winter.  That's true even for indoor kitties, I think it has to do with the length of daylight.  Some kitties cycle in and out so quickly that it seems as though they are never not in heat.  Other kitties don't go into heat that often.  Given the time of year and she is still young, she may not go into heat again before she is spayed.

I was hopeful she wouldn't heat again and we could get her fixed. That is not the case. Between her and the males outside she drove me crazy last night. Every time I would fall asleep she would cry. We have counted 5 out there. Thankfully she doesn't try to get outside.

She has gotten really aggressive this evening. She will hiss at me and try to scratch. But at the same time she will rub and roll in the floor. Is it normal for her to get like that?

She's hormonal. . .pretty much any behavior can be expected! All you can do is tough it out until she's spayed. Cats tend to cycle in and out every couple of weeks so she might even have another heat before her spay appointment. Make sure they know you want to get in soon! Maybe they'll call you if they have a cancellation.
