I'm finally nearing the end of giving Autumn and Holly Purina. They love Buju and Ziggie canned and it seems to agree with their tummies. I still want to give them a wide variety and have looked into Sheba. The meat flavored are fish and grain free. Any input on Sheba?

I know quite a few members feed certain flavors of Sheba. I've never fed it, but from the ingredients, it looks decent for the price. Similar to Fancy Feast Classics, ingredient wise.

Good luck!

Out of the many foods we've tried over the past few years, the Sheba chicken pate is in both our boys' regular rotation of food.

Does anyone have any idea what the dry matter analysis for Sheba is? I can't find that brand on any website I've seen, and according to the one website, they won't even provide the information.

:sigh: Very frustrating :disa: I was trying to research phosphorus levels for someone, and emailed quite a few companies. Some never replied, and a couple told me they don't even test for phosphorus :argh: That isn't the kind of thing you can work out from ingredients listings...or not as far as I can see. :frusty:

I feed Sheba in my rotation :) Ghibli loves it and it may be his favorite wet foods (he gobbles it up faster than some of the more expensive wet brands I give him!). The pates always look very nice to me, too. Ghibli likes the beef, chicken, chicken liver, and turkey flavors. For the price, the ingredients are pretty decent!

Thanks @Columbine, that definitely helps with part of it. I'm guessing it's similar to Fancy Feast (since I've seen it compared a few times to that) in the phosphorus department.

My 2 kitties used to really like the canned Sheba, but recently, they just won't eat it at all, They lick the gravy and that's that. Does anyone know if Sheba made a change to their canned food, or are mine just ridiculously finicky?

I've had my current cat for a little over 2 1/2 months. I fed him Fancy Feast for the first month or so and then got Fancy Feast and Sheba. He liked the Sheba for awhile but now he doesn't really like it anymore but still enjoys the Fancy Feast. All the Sheba came from the same multi-can box. I noticed it seems to dry out faster then the FF if it gets left out for awhile.

Mine prefer the Friskies shreds, but I thought Sheba was better quality. They just walk away from it now, which is what makes me wonder if it's just them or something changed recently.
