It looks like A & E might be starting to go back to the way they used to be.  Not completely they still have the silliness like Duck Dynasty.  They have an original film on Monday night called Cartel Land, a 4 part mini series of War and Peace coming up and they are restarting the Hoarders series tonight.  I really hope the decline of silly reality TV continues until they disappear all together.

I have War and Peace scheduled to record.  For the first time in a while, I"m checking the A&E schedules when I do my scanning.

I regret the demise of The Glades, which I attribute to writers trying to push the plot faster than it should have gone.  I totally enjoyed the first two seasons, was content with the third, and lost my cable service for the next few years, missing the entire last season.  I'd love to see more of these types of shows, as well as more history- and literature-based mini-series.  They've done well with both in the past.

As for Duck Dynasty...The only real good thing that came out of that was the Duckling who became a Swan on DWTS.  But A&E had to...I mean, there was that whole "Redneck Reality" craze going on, and every network tried to cash in.  Living where I live, if I want redneck reality, I'll sit on my front steps when the neighbors get in from work.  Oh, the joys of retirement!

You should see mine. nah. I wouldn't inflict that bunch on anyone. I'm tickled about a good miniseries. We couldn't get cable out here for years. We had 4 channels that required acrobatics with the antenna to get decent reception.  Of course now I have about 300 channels of crap and still watch about four networks.

SNORTLE...Let's put it this way...The day the EX next-door-neighbor got drunk and was dancing around the yard in her underpants during a raging storm and singing, "Thunder Road" is just the tip of a very large iceberg.

You should see the picture I took of my neighbor. She has no clue I took it. I'm saving it for that special occasion. For the most part mine at least keep their clothing on.
