I'm going to say that he is a domestic shorthair; however, his marking are referred to as "flame point". He clearly has tabby in him due to the marking on his tail.

He's a gorgeous boy! Will be curious to see what he looks like in a year or two! Most pointed cats' markings change as they get older.

I know from what i have learned from the site most cats are domestic mix. I have seen many pictures of pointed cats but none like this. He has the red/yellow on his ears, nose and tail. His tail has perfect circles of white and sky blue eyes.
I agree with the above, he is a domestic shorthair, a flame point (ie red point).

He does carry tabby, but I wont call him for lynx = tabby, point.   1.  Practically all reds are tabby too, so its no sport calling them for tabby.

A real lynx point has the tabby markings quite visible, not seldom the whole masque is tabby - we dont see the masque because they are tabbied on the face...

Also, lynx points not seldom have visible tabby stripes on legs and even body.

But, points tend to darken up with years - its most apparent with black seal points, but also other tabbies do darken up some.  Perhaps the tabby markings will gets more protruding??

A nice fellow!

Thank you both. I wish I had a better camera and you could see the points on him they are dark. Either way he is beautiful.

If he is darker than red, he will darken up with years for sure.   :)   And then we will see!

The tail seems red, that is why I said red.  But  I do agree what I can see on ears and face,  may be interpreted as darker.

Anyways, the exact nuance is important only if you go for showing or breeding.   If you go for showing in the Pet class, the judge will help you with this.
