On the third-month anniversary of losing him, I'll be celebrating Lucky's life tonight with all my other babies. Will bust out a couple of the lower-phos Cat in the Kitchen cans for them! :D I have to think about how to celebrate Sara and Maple's birthday in a few weeks (same as mine). Last year they all got Appetizers for their birthdays (them and Lucky). We're gonna have turkey for my birthday this year so guess who all is gonna get turkey also? Yep, the birthday girls and their nephews and niece.

Today I was going through the photos on my computer and discovered a lot of photos of my old rainbow boy, Wesley.  I thought the photos had been lost forever and there they were!   Here are two of them.  One shows off the beautiful reddish tint to his black coat and the other shows his sweet face and beautiful mint green eyes.  He was my Soul Cat and I miss him every day, even though he left me over five years ago.   But now I have photos!

I am finally able to get some dentistry done on my mouth.

Loving my kitties and doggy makes me happy.

Starting to slowly get my life together.

First time taking Ruby outside on a harness! Just a short adventure today, I didn't want to overwhelm her.
She was still a little iffy in the hallways at first, but once we got outside she was back to her confident self! She's never been outside in this area before (we haven't taken her outside without the carrier since we moved here), but she owns it now. She was rolling around and rubbing her face on everything, just like she did in her old backyard. It really made my day seeing how happy she was to be outside. We ran into a little kid and his grandma out there, too. They loved seeing a cat on a leash! Ruby adores kids, so I asked if he wanted to pet her. She just purred away, rubbing up against his legs and shoving her face into his hand.
When we got back inside, she strutted right through those scary hallways like she owned the place!
Definitely a positive experience, I'll have to start taking her out more!
I'll try for some action shots next time ;)

I found my iPod.,,,,and it wasn't in the washer or dryer!

I had plugged both the iPod and my Fitbit into the computer Monday night for them to charge overnight. Got up Tuesday morning, put my Fitbit on my wrist and had no idea what the heck I did with the iPod. I thought I'd put it in the China cabinet in the kitchen. All I knew is that I put my Fitbit on and then went out to the kitchen to feed the kids their breakfast. I keep my Fitbit in the China cabinet on the stack of saucers in the kitchen when I'm not using it (so it's safe!!), so I thought I put it there on Tuesday morning.

Last night I tore my desk apart. Emptied out desk drawers. Nothing. Rick and I went through the trash. Nothing. I checked pockets of everything that was to be laundered. Nothing. Rick took a yard stick and a flashlight and got under my desk, under the filing cabinet, under his desk. (We thought maybe I had just left the iPod on my desk, Muffin found it, knocked it to the floor and played with it.) Nothing. I checked the bathroom closet....you never know. Nothing. I went out to the China cabinet in the kitchen. Nothing. Went through the hutch. Nothing. Checked the piano in the living room. Nothing. Went down to the basement and checked the washer and dryer (I've already washed two iPods in the past two years, so at this point, anything's possible!) I even checked the refrigerator.

I went back to the China cabinet again and there was an envelope Rick had tucked in there next to the stack of saucers. I picked up the envelope and.....there it was. Rick had taken a couple saucers out and when he did, he knocked the iPod into the envelope. And evidently he didn't know he did it. I picked the iPod out of the envelope, turned around, and looked at Rick. He got that "Oh,
!" look on his face and walked away.

I think we're both losing our minds.

Look at the bright side. At least you don't have to lose it by yourself.

Well, At least you found it!!!!

Right now I have been searching everywhere for a certain set of keys...I really need them. I keep blaming Artie for taking them, but I know it is me...there is no one else to blame...

Did you find your keys yet?

Several years ago, Rick had used my car keys as he was driving Clarence somewhere. He came back, but never gave me my keys back. Well, the next day, I was getting ready for work....and couldn't find my keys. I ripped the house apart. I actually called into work and said I didn't know if I'd be coming in because I could not find those blasted keys. Our admin asst called me to tell me she'd come down and pick me up....I told her to give me 30 minutes yet and I'd call her back.

Well, Mollipop was sitting on the bureau behind the tv in the bedroom. I was ripping through Rick's bureau looking for the keys. And muttering to Mollipop about men in general.
Molli was listening intently and she was watching every move I made.

And then she looked over to a spot next to her on the tv bureau and chirped. I asked her, "What are you looking at, Baby Girl?" And I walked over.....to see her staring at my car keys!

I picked her up, gave her a big kiss, grabbed my keys and went to work.

Pam, that is a funny story.. Cats are so intuitive. They really do try to communicate with us!

No, I have not found my keys yet. I either put them in one of my jacket pockets, which means they fell out somewhere; or they are somewhere in my pocketbook. I have emptied the bag out once, but will go through it again this week-end. They could be in a crazy spot also.

It is so strange about these keys disappearing. They are keys to something important and somehow I keep forgetting what I do with them, after using them.

In the winter, when I wear my parka, I do not carry a bag. I have tons of pockets in the jacket. I put my wallet, phone and stuff in them. It is only occasionally that I use a bag..so the keys could be anywhere.

thanks for asking.
