I am craving ice cream!!!!!

Vanilla Bean!!! or a really good vanilla...

Since I joined the gym, I was starting to cut down on my food intake and trying to eat healthy, so I could lose some weight; when lo and behold, my neighbor came gave me a box of eclairs!!!!

She had borrowed a box of aluminum foil. She decided to replace the box and bought a box of eclairs in thanks.....

OMG...now what do I do?????  she would not take it back....

I guess the diet waits for another week....

But I will still be going to the gym, 3 days a week. I am there for 2 hours..I do 30 minutes on the treadmill and the rest with some of the equipment. I am so out of shape, and fat....

What am I craving? Or what can I eat at the moment?

I am craving gumbo. (Yes, again.) Real gumbo. Honest-to-goodness authentic gumbo. With okra (hence, being called "gumbo").

What can I eat?

Soup...yay...nasty crud going around, and all I can pretty much swallow without wanting to scream is soup. I'm chicken soup-ed out, so maybe some cream of asparagus later...but at least the hot liquid feels wonderful going down past my tortured gullet...

...but I still want gumbo.

Lol, Artiemom!

I am craving Biscuits and Gravy REALLY bad. right now. Normally we do not have time to homemake the meal, so we just buy white gravy, and then sausage. And we make our own biscuits. The last time I had it was several months ago.

Goddess help me, but fried potatoes and onions.  It's hardly heathy fare, but it's basic, and homey, and makes the house smell wonderful when I cook it (I'm one of those people who loves the smell of cooking onions).  Will I give in and cook this tonight?  Oh...probably.

love pizza, but believe it or not, I have had so much of it, that I am tired of it! Never thought That could never happen to   me! We have pizza places all over the city and the surrounding ones.  I always keep leftover pizza int he house, for a quick supper. I wrap the sliced individually in foil and reheat.

It has been so long since I had a pizza, (about a month) that I do not have any in the freezer! Amazing!

and I am not craving any! very strange!

I am sure I will do a 90 degree on it and start craving it soon!

I am wanting a nice fresh bagel with cream cheese! Chive cream cheese!

There is a bagel shop in the next city, which has been in business for over 100 years, in the same building!

It is a landmark! I grew up with their bagels. It is a run down building, but has never changed location. It is not in a great area, but if you grew up in this city, you know all about Katz Bagels!

Original recipe, water bagels. Years ago, The store was open for only a few hours a day. You could see the bakers taking breaks out side the building. I remember my dad and I would go into the side door, you could watch them making the bagels, and the ones which were cooling. That is how they would sell them to customers, when the store was closed. You were restricted to what they had made at the time.. Nothing fresher than that!

Now they are open 6 days a week. Closed on Mondays. They have begun baking some other items also. Babka, whoopee pies, eclairs...all of them are so good. They make their own chive and salmon cream cheese also.

They also have pizza bagels..Yes, pizza bagels! a huge seller! The slice off a bit of the top of a slightly flattened plain bagel, put some tomato sauce and cheese on it, bake and that is it!

Awesome!

They also have bagel dogs--hotdog wrapped in bagel dough!

and the sell the tops of the bagels from the pizza bagels as: teething bagels!

I could have one of their bagels every day! and not get sick of it!

I've been craving barbecue chicken lately and can't seem to get enough of it!  But I'm sick of the old Kraft original because it's too icky sweet.  Sugar and meat?  Yuck.  I'm ok with a little sugar but not much.  Anyway I went to the store and looked at all the sauces available - there's a lot! - and brought home one simply called Stubbs.  It's got a picture of a man, Mr. Stubbs I reckon, on it.  It is WONDERFUL!!!  It only has a little more than half the sugar as Kraft and it's very tasty.  A little hot, but very good!  Adding mayo to make a creamy BBQ reduces the sugar taste too.  Yum!!

I've done that too. I made them sunny side up or over easy so when you cut into them, the yolk runs down and makes like a sauce. A few dashes of hot sauce is all you need after that.
