Holding steady at 187. But I had to go up a size of pants. size 16. I was just too uncomfortable in the 14s. but I am also noticing my legs/butt getting bigger as I have been lifting heavier weights. I still have to cut out the food. My biggest issue is I don't know how to not eat until I am stuffed. So this week I cooked up some eggs last night and chicken for lunch. I don't want to eat tv dinners for lunch-they all have too much sodium so for now I will stick with veggies and meat with carbs just before my workout. I think sodium is the biggest culprit for me not loosing weight-I eat too much processed foods-so working on that too.

I have clothes from size 4 up to 14 but not for long. I just bought a few size 16 shorts  to see if I am more comfortable when gardening or out about in my yard.  as far as pants, I stand on my feet all day due to my pants being too tight, I have 3 pairs that are not tight but size 14. and one 16. In fact I just went through my closets last weekend and got rid of all my 4 and 6. I will never get that small again. So I kept a few 8 pants but if I could get back into 10 I would be so happy. I am built like a brickwall so its hard to say what size I should be. The legs are always too tight and the hip/butt are tight. often I can fit in the legs but the waist I cant button/zip. so I have been doing more walking around at work and longer cardio sessions to work on this. and stay away from restaurant food.

My upper body has always been bigger than most womens. So I normally wear a 1x now due to the shoulders being too tight in xl. or the sleeves too tight or short. The shirts from the 80s and 90s I am a large or xl. if its shirts made in the past 10 years at least a 1x for button-up shirts. I wear a tank top under all my shirts. which are size large or xl. then if I wear a tshirt its always v neck and size xl or 1x. then I wear my button up shirt over it-1X or 2x or mens large to xxl depending on the style/brand.  Old navy runs small. ll bean I wear a large or xl mens shirt. I wish they would make woman's blouses the way they make mens button up shirts-the arms are long enough and the arm holes are not tiny tiny but using womens soft fabrics like cotton/linen blend and the style of the collar is smaller for girls. I usually just wear the mens light colors but I prefer wearing womens shirts but they don't make the arm hole or sleeves wide enough. and why do womens shirts always cut short so if I lean over it rides up.

I love teen clothes with the longer shirts but they don't make them big enough..so maybe someday I will get back into a juniors large but probably not. my focus now is getting my waist down under a 35. I got 4 inches to go.

at leas the past 6 months I can see why I am not loosing-I need to get better willpower. At least I am more active but its not enough..got to try harder.

Thanks all! I didn't lose anything last week at all, so I was happy to see a loss this morning.

I don't know that it's really from walking, but I think cardio helps more with weight loss while using weights help to build muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, right? So if you're trying to build muscle, you're going to weigh more? Maybe I'm way off base.

Even though I'm now using dumbbells and using my Bowflex, I'm not trying to gain a lot of muscle as much as I'm just trying to tone-up a bit.

Oh you just wait when you realize how easy many daily chores have become after gaining strength, then you get swallowed into this fitness thing and it is all too late after that to ever return to old! :D

Muscle weights more than fat for the same volume, that is true, but you can't gain muscle very fast, gaining pound of muscle is lot slower than losing pound of fat and nothing is so fast as gaining pound of fat :lol3:

So most of those weight changes within two pounds and a in time period of week can be hydration changes, water retention and such, accuracy of weekly weight ins is not very good because there can be so much fluctuation, even day to day that it is very hard to tell what is cause of loss/maintaining/gaining from last week.

But with month worth of measurements one gets to see a trend and for several months it starts to tell some kind of story.

Well, that is what makes weight loss sometimes frustrating, especially if one tries new thing. Starting new exercise/workout can increase weight because there is inflammation of muscles that are not used to working, muscles are sore, that inflammation is good thing, workout is working, but it can cause several weeks of extra weight until body gets used to new routine.

So as you started new exercise and you have maintained your weight by scale, in reality you might have lost weight, you know only after month or so though, which indeed is frustrating as we want it now :D

Oh, water too weights more than fat :)

I weighed in at 215 this morning. A 3.6 pound loss from last week. I was really busy last week cleaning and moving furniture around. I had to turn around and clean my carpet again today. The kittens have Coccida so they had several accidents on my floor. Hopefully they get better soon so we can get them fixed and to their new homes. They will be 10 weeks tomorrow. I love them but its time to go.

I did my first round of Cize this morning I Love it. I was falling over myself a few times but I will get it. I also tried my new protien powder, Quest Salted Caramel. It was so good. I can't wait to try the chocolate tomorrow.

I've gained 1.5 kilos this week. 1cm extra on my waist. I over ate lots a few times. Why did I do that? Arrrh. Actually I know why. I think. This is a new week and I can do better.
I hope you all do well. Good luck.

I weighed in at 211.6 this morning. A 3.4 pound weight loss. I have gotten seven day's of the first workout of Cize in. I am doing better than the first day but some days trip over myself. I will get this routine. Besides that I have been walking with the kids and having fun with them. It takes over an hour to get a mile in. We have a color of the day we look for, we stop at the park to play, pick up pine cones. On Saturday my Leah bucked up like most two year olds and I had to carry her a half a mile. She weighs 35 pounds by the time I was home I was breaking a crazy sweat and my arms and legs were burning.

Here's to a great week ahead.

My waist is up 4cm and weight is up 4kg from 1 month ago, I haven't done so well, haven't even weighted myself for weeks or kept book of what I have eaten.

I gain weight by social interaction, there has been way too much of that for my tolerance level, which leads to sweets and despite moving a lot it is still possible to over eat.

So far holding steady. at 187. I have been trying to cut out the junk. I cheat a few times a week but I haven't had fast food or other high calorie stuff. Only workout 3 times last week but did it in longer sessions. Not sure if it matters. Seems The hunger feeling is real. I looked up whole30 and looks like I need to eat more fats and less sugars. So I maynot have lost but I haven't gained. The measurements are the same. 39" waist 47" hips. at least I am keeping steady-the weight has not continued to go up like it has been in the prior months. Keep going everyone!

One inch lost around my waist, one inch lost around my hips, 1/2 inch lost in my right thigh, and nothing lost or gained in my left thigh.

2.4 pounds lost last this past week.

I am 4/10 of a pound from going into a lower decade (as Pat used to say). I tried my darndest yesterday to lose that 4/10 of a pound, but to no avail. Drat.

Congrats to the losers and to everyone!  We're all doing great!

This was a rough week. Rick has his blood work done this coming Thursday morning and I have a feeling that once that's done, it's going to be ugly in my house. He's been complaining, I've been complaining, we all want some kind of junk food. We've been doing this since May 9 and we're going through serious withdrawal.  I've had one high-octane Pepsi (on the Sunday before Memorial Day) and have been limiting myself to water and fruit-infused water. And no matter what I tell myself, it just doesn't taste as good as a Pepsi would!

@foxxycat  have you ever tried IIFYM, If it fits your macros. I am learning and trying to do it loosely. I have been reading and learning about it. Where you are lifting already and hungry all the time you may need to up your calories. On this plan you can eat anything you want as long as it fits in your calorie and macro count. You are given a set number of carbs, fat, and protien to hit a day +/- 5 grams. It helps with people that want to cut or bulk. There is a great group on Facebook just for women that will teach you.

I am learning more as I go I have a hard time hitting all my numbers now but once I start lifting I plan on hiring a coach to help with my numbers and teach me more.

@Winchester  it will get easier with the pop thing. I haven't had one since January 2nd and I loved my A&W root beer. The first month was the hardest. I still want one from time to time but I resist because that is the one thing I believe will put me back to my old way of eating. That is the only thing that is off limits to me.

Yeah I started to wonder if I wasn't eating enough calories-I thought I was doing really good staying at 1800-2000. Today I am upping it to 2300, I added eggs and oatmeal to my breakfast. And at lunch again. Some days I can get away with 1500 and be satisfied but when I go to workout-I am dragging. The days I let myself eat more I have more energy-you would think it would work backwards. I think I eat too much white carbs-I need to eat better choices-multigrain instead-honestly its been really interesting to learn what I can eat and what I should avoid.

I don't miss the soda. Drink diet coke for almost 20 years. quit last august. but now I drink orange juice but I cut that way back as its loaded with calories. If I could find a happy medium I would be happy. And teach myself to stop eating fast food. I just love fried foods..grrr.

I am really starting to learn my body. I stupidly redid my numbers last week on another site and it said if I eat X amount of calories a day I would weigh 199 by August 28th. I was like ok I can do this for two months. The first day I was fine. The second day famished and cheated. Third day fine and fourth cheated again. I realized I do better with calorie cycling. On the high end of my calories one day and the next if my body needs a rest I allow it as long as I get 1000 calories in. I redid my numbers on Thursday night and it feels more manageable.

I did it.....got down into that lower decade this morning. I know it doesn't count because weigh-in was Monday. But I threw my arms up into the air and said, "YES! anyway when I saw the scales this morning.

The thing is I feel fat this morning. Bloated and, oh, I don't know. I feel fat. Didn't eat anything weird yesterday and I did exercise last night. But I just feel pudgy.

Thanks, Louann Jude, I'm glad that if I just keep up with the soda thing, it will be OK eventually.  I remember the last time I completely gave up soda, when I finally drank a Pepsi, I thought, "Dear lord, but this is sweet!" Didn't take long to get back into the soda habit though. I'm hoping to work on food and meals throughout the week with Saturday as a day to drink one soda and splurge just a bit. Not right now, not till I reach my goal. But eventually. And then get right back on the wagon on Sunday and stay there through the week. We'll see how things go. Right now, though, I'm good. I'm OK.

It's funny. I've been thinking of Pat too. I saw a new decade or so I thought!! It was just the next kilo down [emoji]128514[/emoji] I'm not seeing that this week yet. I will. I will though.
Winchester Winchester That's brilliant. Good work. I think it's fine to have a little cheat. In fact it's quite normal and good for the mind. I was having little cheats here and there and I felt great. It was a real sense of achievement for me to have something small and stop at that. Plus it made no difference to the scales or my waist line. Please, please, please just don't be like me last week and start out with good intentions and then go berserk. It's crap. You are probably just bloated today. Don't let that get in your head. You are in the lower decade!!! Woo!! Keep going girl.
Keep going everybody. You are all my heroes. You Rock.

Hi. Me again. foxxycat foxxycat I tried to post a link but it wouldn't work sorry. Anyways I highly recommend you search "Scoobys workshop.com" there is a calorie calculator which I find to be pretty accurate for me. This is a bodybuilding website but it could be helpful to anyone.

I'm hoping I'll be OK this weekend. Rick's blood work is tomorrow, so he has to fast tonight until after he's had the blood drawn tomorrow morning. He already has a package of Oreos Double Stuf cookies in the freezer downstairs waiting for him and he's already told me that he's taking some cookies to work; as soon as he has his blood drawn, all bets are off. Enough is enough. He wants to go out for dinner Thursday night and he wants to go out for breakfast on Saturday morning (as a Father's Day treat). I'm willing to do breakfast Sat morning, but not dinner Thursday night. And I have a feeling it's going to get ugly.....I'm not ready for a bunch of junk food and crap in the house; I'm just not.

The lower decade wasn't a fluke as I'm still there this morning. I didn't think I'd be able to lose weight because I'm not walking. I am exercising faithfully 4 nights a week and I'm also doing the PT exercises twice a day, every day. But without walking, I'm worried that I'm going to gain.  I'm being really careful about eating right now and I'm honestly staying right around 1,000 - 1,100 calories a day. No walk, no food. There's no choice in the matter right now.

I seem to be stuck at 125, but I have lost some fat rolls around my waist. I am making a serious effort now to get the 10,000 steps a day with my Fitbit. Also, I am pushing for more on the stationary bicycle.
The past two days I have done 6 miles. The seat was not real comfortable so hubby swapped it out for the one on my Murray bike I am trying to sell. He is having a hard time doing the walk as he has an ingrown toe nail right now.
