Hello all,

I had my girl Rogue in for a cystotomy yesterday. She had 1 large calcium crystal that was removed--it was almost dime-sized and looked like a little hedgehog!

I have two questions--she has a fever of diagnosed origin that has been cyclical; they are hoping that it will go down now that I brought her home (it went down overnight at the vet when everyone left and only the overnight nurse was there and started going back up in the a.m. when it started bustling in the back room with people).  Anybody have similar fever issues after surgery/how long did it last?

Additionally, she is walking with an odd gait, I am assuming due to soreness.  Basically, it looks like she was riding a horse with a wide gait in the back.  She will take a few steps and lay down in a new spot.  Did anyone else's cat walk oddly following surgery, and if so, for how long? I have a mini pharmacy of meds that I am giving her to manage inflammation and pain.  She is also wearing an e-collar and is a porker (15.7 pounds), so that may be contributing to it.

Thanks for any advice you may have to share!
