I'm looking for a good cat shampoo, preferably one that I can buy on Amazon since we're in a rural area, with no chain or independent pet stores. (Unless farm supply stores carry it...like Family Farm and Home or Tractor Supply Company)

Any recommendations?

I don't have a recommendation but I would also like to know what other's recommendations are. I went to look at shampoo at Petsmart today and they had shampoo with glitter in it, bright colors, and citrus scent (don't cats HATE citrus??). I was baffled by the poor choices and would like to order online as well.

If it is for general degreasing of a long haired cat, a half and half mixture of Dawn dish detergent and water would be fine.  For just a general shampoo check out the PetEdge site - they have MANY shampoos available and they ship. I personally use Jerob, Vitacoat and Chris Christensen products, but they are expensive and generally used for show cats.  My pets usually only get the Dawn and maybe a clarifying shampoo. Sometimes I use a baby shampoo. In all products I try to stay away from any herbal or citrus scents.

Hi to everyone @ TCS
My cat was getting occasional baths over the summer with Royal Pet herbal and a very good rinse with a cap full of listerine to 5 gallons of water. This worked well when she had mostly chicken meals. I had to switch to dry cat food. ( I know , |-( it has been like -a human eating junk food. And of course she now is itching and scratching. I used
GNC Pets Hairball & Shed Control Waterless Shampoo - Sweet Cherry Almond

It is like a skin and hair conditioner. It is easy to use , just spray , rub and brush. It can be
Shipped. It is light , non -sticky. It is good for coats that are fuzzy , frizzy and thick. I used it as a spot moisturizer to areas which I saw Kitti scratching.

I think they might sell a couple of whitening shampoos for cats at your local pet store. You can also try apple cider vinegar, I'v tried that with my cat before and it worked :)

Is he cream?  You might want to try Eye Envy ( the refrigerated kind) for the staining. After I find out for certain what his color is (it is difficult to tell in the small photo) I will text some friends of mine who do solids/bicolor Persians to find out what they suggest.

I'm a big fan of the Tropiclean dander reducing waterless foam shampoo. It smells very nice, and I've found it really helps with my allergies.
