No, they prefer the owner is not there. I can kinda understand that. I'm betting the cats scream bloody murder which some owners probably interpret as their cats being in pain. Or possibly cats act different when the owners are around vs not.[/quote

Try not to worry.

They weren't really fazed by it. But omg, did that poop reek. I'm planning on making sure she stays clean. I just can't get her clean to begin with, not by myself anyway. She seems much more docile with others anyway - except for the pee/pooping part. But the vet gave me some of the shampoo you can brush out so that will help with up-keep.

As for the cutting... I'm hoping I can get the nerve to do that!
I know what you mean about getting the nerve to clip them yourself. I have the Wahl Bravura clippers.
I can't say enough good things about them. I've used them on both of my long haired cats. I tested it on myself first. I pressed hard on myself with them just to see what I was working with and nothing. No injuries (no. I'm not a cutter
) They go through the fur easily and they aren't really too noisy. Unfortunately, they also aren't cheap but IMO, they are worth it.

Or they can be like my 5 pound Lilith and terrorize the groomer and get Sophie, me and herself banned from the salon.

Wow, you aren't kidding about it being pricey, lol. Maybe once I get my tax return!

I sure hope we don't get banned from the groomer :lol3: Hopefully she'll be much calmer!

I checked my order for Cat Attract, and it said it won't get here until Tuesday. Maple's getting her bath on Sunday so definitely wanted to have it all set up before then. So I went to Petsmart (found out a mini-store just opened down the street from me - score!) to pick up a 40# bag from there. I was telling my mom that I'm going to the new Petsmart, the one over by Trader Joe's. We talk more about the Petsmart bit for a minute and then she says, "While you're out, can you pick up something for me? Anything will do." And I'm like, "You want some... pet food??" And then she said, "No, you mentioned Trader Joe's so want something from there!" So, I stopped at Trader Joe's after Petsmart and picked up some snacks.

Nala Ava Marie likes that Kitten Attract litter! It smells like pine needles before she uses it!

Trying to figure out how to get photos off my phone... the thing got dropped in water and (even though it's supposedly waterproof) the thing won't charge or turn on. All my pictures of Jasper are on there, and a lot of them aren't posted or backed up anywhere.

You might be able to save it. This link might help

http://www.wikihow.com/Save-a-Wet-Cell-Phone
It was only in water for a few seconds, and I dried it off right away and stuck it in a bag of rice. Unfortunately, it doesn't open up at all, so I can't remove any battery, sim card, or SD card. :/

I'm keeping it in the rice overnight, and I'll try again tomorrow.

Can you take it to the phone store (whichever one you are through) and see if they can at least help opening it up?

Rick is lounging on the couch and I'm back here messing about on TCS. He took The Beast out for her first pee and I gave everybody breakfast and cleaned the kitchen a bit. I'm drinking my coffee and figuring out what needs to get done today. I have about half a headache and am hoping it doesn't blow up into a migraine....it was bad last night, but not as bad this morning.

Have you taken something for it @ winchester?

I'm in the lounge dressed warmly waiting for my programme tog start and hoping the injection in my shoulder works. I've also finished reading the boring newspapers

I'm currently racking my brain trying to figure out what I can do to have Maple use the litter box. Put the new one up with Cat Attract, tried putting her in there (that was entertaining) and have watched the others use it like it's a playground sand box. Someone has been doing stuff in there, but I'm not sure who at this point.

And now I have a headache :(

Trying to guzzle my coffee, then have to move the car of the lady upstairs so I can get out of the driveway, need to get the big carrier and then need to find Maple so I can put her in it. I think she knows something's up. I swear, for being as big as she is, that cat knows how to hide like you wouldn't believe.

Had to noisily throw some dry food in the bowl AND open up a can of wet food to get Maple out of whatever hidey-hole she was in. She was NOT happy to be going into the carrier, or to be taken somewhere again. I feel like a horrible mommy right now :( Making my almost 14-year-old kitty feel so badly.

So, now I wait for them to call me back and I'll go pick her up.
