I don't have any motivation either, and my tummy is a mess. So quite tempted to try and call off of work just so I can watch tv and snuggle with Robin, who's not quite himself either. I'm sitting here thankful he's seeing the vet this weekend, but wish I had the money to bring myself in and have my hip looked at. I could barely get through work last night. Time for a cane... at age 51. :(

Tossed and turned again last night. I had set the alarm for 7am, but Artie woke me up at 6 am.. We cuddled for a while and I got up just before the alarm went off.

Medicated, fed Artie, had my breakfast, washed dishes, made  bed, showered, grabbed Artie and out to the Vet.

I am exhausted today.  I think I did too much yesterday, at volunteering. My shoulder is sore, again...nothing new.

Came home, had hot chocolate, went on line....Artie was hungry after his Vet visit. Strange for him.

I ended up lying down for a couple of hours. I slept for an hour and a half, with Artie lying onto of me. He woke me up again with a Meow in the ear! I turned over, he jumped down. I was still too tired to get up. I got off the coach a half hour later...

on line now....not sure about supper..watching Judge Judy also...

I have no "oomph" today.. shoulder nice and sore...

Feel better.
I'm sorry about the need for a cane - not being able to get around easily can be so discouraging.

I've been on line going back and forth between TCS and trying to make arrangements for some dental work.  Blah to the latter!

I'm feeling pretty stressed tonight. I found out at work that the best boss I could ever have is retiring. With change comes fear of the unknown I guess.
That's pretty scarey. Thank goodness I've retired.

My son eats soooo much, I feel like I'm always buying him food. I don't know how someone who is only 25 pounds can possibly eat so much but he does.

We just got back from walking the girl I babysit to school. It's wind today which is making it feel a lot colder than it is. Trying to warm up now and wishing it was Saturday. My mother in law is taking my kids overnight, we are doing an escape room with some friends and then going to a bar to see a different friends band play. It's going to be a very late night but I'm very excited.
What's an escape room?

I had a set schedule that I wouldn't feed Midnight until 7am, but more than once, she would pounce on the bed (and generally on my stomach---ooof!) around 5:30, and meow for her morning breakfast. She was really bad about that for a few years. Then one day, she just accepted the fact that this is how it was going to be, and stopped doing it. My stomach sure was glad for the fact!
I had only woken up slightly this morning but then Penelopy decided to give me her "enthusiastic" love bites. The kind where she grabs my arms with all four paws and bites and gums me. I didn't really fall back asleep after that lol. I think she wanted me to feed her then but nope!

Who won the Cat Belly picture contest?  My sister is visiting and I haven't been on-line much and the thread is gone.

I'm just back after capturing Chula from her Big Adventure.  I opened the apartment door and she zipped out into the hall.  Fortunately there is no danger of her getting outside so I let her explore a little bit.  She's now feeling frisky - she really had a good time.

She had a bit of a shampoo at the vet but she's getting a full bath and hygiene cut on Sunday. Or as my friend called it, the "butt window" cut.
Poor baby. How did she behave during the bath? Are you less worried? I hope so. Hugs.

I think a big part of the worry was just in the fact I was taking her out somewhere, which hasn't happened since we moved into our house almost 11 years ago. And she was only 3 years old at the time so it wasn't nearly as traumatic an experience. But I had to take her to the vet Tuesday so broke the ice on the "taking her out" part already. Less worried about that. Hoping she doesn't freak out during a bath, although at the vet's office. She only peed on them once and pooped on them once.

LOL. I bet that pleased them. Still better out than in. I'm sure she'll be OK. They know what they're doing.
Perhaps you could learn how to cut the furaround her bottom. You know you can get foamy shampoo that doesn't have to be washed off. Just brushed. Far less traumatic and with a nice smell. I had to use it on my late lotto who couldn't reach his back and it'd get greasy. Maybe if there's a next time?

getting ready to call my mom -- at the facility, with her having physical therapy a lot, it's quite hard to 'connect' with her. i did talk with my aunt last night, and know that mom is doing very well...but her doctor didn't feel she was ready to go home yet -- 1-2 more weeks of physical therapy. so mom was very disappointed, and i want to try to connect with her today so i can hopefully lift her spirits a bit.

I have been trying desperately to OFF the computer, but every time I get ready to walk away another topic pops up on TCS and I have to read it!

This is it...I think? Now I am going to finally strip the bed and go do some much needed laundry!

They weren't really fazed by it. But omg, did that poop reek. I'm planning on making sure she stays clean. I just can't get her clean to begin with, not by myself anyway. She seems much more docile with others anyway - except for the pee/pooping part. But the vet gave me some of the shampoo you can brush out so that will help with up-keep.

As for the cutting... I'm hoping I can get the nerve to do that!

Will you be there when they cut/shave him? If so you can watch.

No, they prefer the owner is not there. I can kinda understand that. I'm betting the cats scream bloody murder which some owners probably interpret as their cats being in pain. Or possibly cats act different when the owners are around vs not.
