In position. One of my grandson's visited me today. My son came later to fetch him and see his aged MA!
Watched quite a bit of tv but what else can I do if I'm resting. My hair is in desperate need of colouring but besides sitting so long I'd never manage to lean back over the sink. It'd hurt too much.
I'm reading all the threads. I'm enjoying most of them. When I've finished here I'll probably read if I can't get to sleep. Good night lovelies.

Hi all, got home from work. Waiting for my husband to come home. Going out to dinner. Can't decide if I want Italian or Mexican food for dinner.

I'm watching Thief of Time (Jim Chee/Joe Leaphorn mystery) on Netflix.   Have felt kind of blah today so am treating myself to a movie with lots of pictures of the southwest US.

Been an interesting morning. Slept in (till 9!), got up and threw some stuff in the washer, then fed the kitties. Gave Sara some of the Royal Canin kidney food the vet gave me the other day, and then gave the other four the Soulistic. Well, the kittens ate all of the Soulistic. Maple decided to be lazy and stay against the vent in my room, and Pea-Pea was nowhere to be found. Eventually found out she was upstairs, so took the half-can of Fancy Feast Medley out of the fridge and let her have that, while the kittens busied themselves with the empty can. Pea-Pea finished what she wanted, then I gave the leftovers to Maple. I told Maple she gets leftovers because she's lazy. Sara has only eaten a little bit of her food so had to put it in the microwave. At some point, I pilled her, and she was licking up all the flavors from the bowl (it was one of the bowls that had had Soulistic in it). So I brought back her food and she gobbled almost all of it up. I locked all the other kitties in my room while she was eating, and decided I'll leave them in there for a bit so she can have some peace and quiet. After she finished eating, she went to the litter box, walked around the house a bit, then realized the others were in my room. So, she sat there staring at them under the door. :sigh:

And now here I am, eating my bear claw from Panera that I bought yesterday while having my coffee. Watching Sara make another round of the house. Gonna go put the clothes in the dryer soon. I'm almost afraid to open my bedroom door, it sounds like the cats were having the Indy 500 in there for awhile.

In  the process of throughly cleaning the litter bathroom....Yup, 2 large litter boxes (one for pee and one for poop), hand washed 2 of the litter holder mats (got some poop on them). The mats are now hanging on the balcony railing, in the sunshine, to dry.

Next up is to dump the litter from one box, and wash it, then do the same with the

other box,

Then on to scrub down the entire bathroom, dry it and replace it all...

It takes a long time for me to do this...

I am pacing myself and doing things in steps...Between me being out of shape, getting winded, and the shoulder----it is a days worth of exercise for me....

Have already vacuumed the stray litter from the bathroom, and washed the rugs.

after I submit this post, I will start on one box....

Then when I am all done, I have to load up my trash cart and then go out to the dumpster to dump it all.....

a few hours for me to do it all...

Then I can jump in the shower, wash my hair and rest.....put my legs up...

gotta go....my 'work' is calling me...

When you're done, can you come do my bathroom?

I'm just waking up and hanging out on TCS before taking on some paperwork I'm dreading.

LOL!
I finished the boxes (except for filling), bathroom done, wiped down, waiting for it all to finish drying... then on to filling boxes, replacing to proper spots, dumping trash, quick vacuum of stay litter from great room, then my shower.....Not bad for 1 1/2 hours with 3 breaks.....  While his majesty is sleeping on my bed, in my spot.....what a life...pardon the junk on the side...I am cleaning and just throwing things around....

Yes, I like to clean by "just throwing things around," too!
Artie looks very comfy while you slave away.  That's a lovely bedspread, btw.

We just got home from shopping. We all (except my 1 year old) got new shoes and I bought a tablet. Then we took the kids to the indoor playground.

I'm sitting here watching The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on T.V., dealing with email and TCS notifications, and trying to work up to doing some chores and running errands.  Just another normal day.

Clipped the boys' nails earlier (Oliver especially was such a good boy!) and then tonight clipped Penelopy's. I was shocked at how good she was! Then all three had their toofs brushed tonight. Sara's all pilled as of earlier, Maple's eating some canned pumpkin with food as I speak, and Sara's enjoying some of the evening meal as well. The others are grazing on the rest of the food left. And I'm relaxing before going to bed. It's been a nice uneventful evening - just the way I like my Saturday evenings these days.

Well, I just got some surprising news. Completely terrifying, a little bit exciting, and (if I'm being competent honest) kinda disappointing (for admittedly selfish and pretty shallow reasons).
I'm probably pregnant. Only taken one test so far, I'm kinda hoping it's a false positive....
Nick doesn't know yet, he's still at work.
I'm freaking out pretty bad right now and I needed to tell someone. :(

Whoa, that's huge news!  And how wonderful that you chose us to tell!  Congratulations!!!!

I think the feelings you're going through are pretty normal.
When I discovered I was pregnant I was excited, scared to death and worried about how I'd handle school.  If I had to do it all over again, I definitely would with no hesitation.  As it turned out, I was able to finish school and get a good job, one with a day care center on site.  It wasn't easy at all and it was exhausting but so worth it.  My only regret is that I couldn't spend more time at home full time with her when she was little.

Your life totally changes when you realize  you're responsible 24/7 for a little one but you love the little rascals so much, you cope.  Parenting is without doubt the most difficult job I've ever had in my life but totally worth it.

You'll manage!  It is scary though.  I well remember how shocked I was when I first learned the news - terror does not begin to describe it.  But I did okay, and so will you!  The mere fact that you're on a cat site shows you already have a nurturing nature.  I'm really happy for you!

And now, just to make sure I haven't strayed too far off track of the what-are-you-doing-thread - I'm up with insomnia reading TCS and congratulating @eck1kaylie  on her good news!

Honeybee on my lap, music playing in background
Laying here wide awake at 3am. Woke up at 1:30am and turned clock ahead. Lost an hour :'( insomnia every freaking night. Work in the am. Honeybee was up here making biscuits on her red velvet blanket but decided to go terrorize one of the cats. Sometimes she comes back. Reading the messages on here and hope to get some more sleep.

Congrats to your new news eck1kaylie of your pregnancy. Never had kids here but I probably be scared out of my mind that I would become my mother. We have so much support now unlike 40 years ago. Congratulations again!

Just woke up to take my meds, was immediately accosted by two kittens. Told them that I know that they're starving and that they are going to waste away if I don't feed them their gooey-food right away. Made them wait while I put together coffee. Fed them. Finally had my meds and made a couple cigarettes. Then sent them in to wake up daddy-Rune. After all, it was his alarm that got me up.

Pilled Sara, fed the cats and gave Sara her shot this morning. My first time giving the shot at home, was rather anti-climactic (which I'm rather happy about!). She didn't even seem to notice. Makes me feel a little better for when the time comes to give her subqs, whenever that will be. Have been watching the boys play like they used to do all the time when they were smaller - it's such a treat to see now! And of course all the youngin's were in tornado mode for awhile, and now everything is calm again. Can tell I'm still fighting off some bug, hoping my body wins the fight! Been like this since Wednesday.

On that note, getting all stoked for St. Catrick's Day tonight!

I'm sorry you felt blah. It's really a horrid feeling isn't it. Hugs
