Does the appetite of a cat change in winter, house cats?  do they eat more, less or the same as any other time of year?

I can't say I've experienced that, and I've had cats all my life. Can you give more details? Is it just one cat or multiple cats that are doing this? How old is it / are they? Usually an appetite change (consistent one) is a red flag for me that something isn't quite right.

A quick on line search says that cats eat MORE in winter.  Both of mine have been eating somewhat less.  Both seem perfectly fine, no vomiting, diarrhea, and moods are normal.  I will probably bring both in sometime soon for routine work.

Some cats may eat more in the w inter. It might be because the weather is cold and they need more food to provide the energy to keep their bodies warm. Do you have heated cat beds and pet blankets to keep your cats warm?
