Hello everyone,

My 7 month old unneutered cat (male, he was supposed to get neutered yesterday but the weather was extremely severe) has now been peeing non stop around rugs and furry things that lay only on the floor. He is really sweet, but how do I stop this? I was able to get the smell out with brand products and I bought a UV light to search around the house for urine, but he pees constantly. He does go outside in our fenced backyard, but him urinating everywhere is gross. He doesn't really urinate a ton in the litter box.

Any answers are appreciated :)

If he is urinating a lot more that usual he needs a vet visit to make sure there aren't any medical reasons for the behavior. You need to rule out a UTI or bladder infection.

If he is medically cleared, then this is a behavior issue and will likely subside once he is neutered and the hormones are out of his system.

Give us an update after his vet visit and we can offer suggestions on how to go from there.
