The Christmas Eve Eve Edition, 2016
When I got married, Roger had a dog, a Blue Tick named (duh) Bleu. (Roger took French in High School.) Roger also owned an old van -- I learned to drive a stick shift in that van -- and Bleu thought the passenger seat belonged to her. She was very offended when I took it away from her and she had to ride on the engine compartment between the seats instead.
Except that she doesn't try to embrace it, Jasmine makes love to her new scratching post every time I put catnip on it.

Whenever we'd drive to Oregon to visit my parents at Christmas time, we used to take Pretzel with us. She was always anxious at the beginning of the journey, but as soon as I fell asleep while Roger was driving us out of town she would calm down. She knew that I never fall asleep on the way to the vet!
