Our beloved cat has been thru hell since the summer. We have spent thousands trying to help him and no answers. The bump(hematoma?) on his forehead has been sliced open and drained a few times. Now the whole stays open and we squeeze it and use a warm washcloth like the vet said to.Rounds of antibiotics, pain killers, etc... The bump goes down and then keeps building up again and again. We drain it ourselves almost daily but still no answers. It's mainly red blood coming out but occasionally clear fluid. He is sneezing blood out of his nose a lot. We can't afford any more money. Thoughts? Suggestions?

OMG that looks awful, If your current vet can't figure out what is going on you need to take him to another vet ASAP. Where are you located? I don't think that cat will live much longer without treatment.

Poor baby!   Get another Vet ASAP  have they done scans on this?  it should have healed it's not clearing up since summer!! JMHO  have they suggested surgery to remove clean stitch him up this is nasty. That kitty needs serious help.   Some people open up   Go fund me pages  moneys can go directly into account at vet clinic - you'll get more support sending straight to clinic. Hoping someone else can offer funding suggestions for you. Blood coming out of his nose he needs to see someone today!

Please do take him to another vet. Poor thing is probably in pain from that thing and needs to have it addressed properly. This is NOT normal at all and needs medical attention ASAP.

I would definitely take kitty to another vet.  An abscess shouldn't continue this long.  Usually it takes one incision and drainage, sometimes put in a drainage wick to keep it open and then it heals up.  I would ask around for some vet recommendations, if you have a smaller chain or independent pet store they are often a good source for a recommendation..  If you are comfortable giving your general location here there may be someone here who can give a recommendation.

Has the vet done a culture and sensitivity test?

I would say this is fungal as suggested.

Regardless of antibiotic treatment, which is only able to hold off bacterial infection but not get rid of the origin, it must be treated with an antifungal med like itraconazole.

You should be able to get this from the current vet at only the medication cost, not another exam.

Sadly the vet never cultured it or he would have easily seen it grows and is a fungus, not that uncommon either!

Just call the vet and request this med right away. This can cause permanent damage to her.

I completely agree with @Zed Xyzed
