Goodbye Rita I love you so much. Part of my heart died today xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for coming to this site to share your pain, it helps to be with those who understand what you are feeling and can offer comfort on your loss. I think part of us truly does die when they leave us, they were such a significant part of our daily lives and the bond we form becomes intertwined with our own heart and soul. The loss we feel is great, the emptiness it leaves behind seems unending. The only thing I could hold on to in those first dark days was that the love they have for us would never want us to remember them with such sadness, but to celebrate what we had shared and to remember the happy times, not dwell on the end. Cats love with a simple single mindlessness, they never hold a grudge, or stop loving us, they hold no blame or guilt, unlike us humans, who always have a measure of guilt when we grieve. I pray you can find comfort in your precious memories, and try to remember that bond you two shared is something that can never be taken from you, your precious Rita will reside forever in your heart, fill it with sunshine and happiness for her, not the tears and sadness you have in this time of loss. All life will end some day, there is always someone left behind to mourn. The earth is so much emptier without that little girl in it, but the heavens have truly gained a beautiful angel. My heart goes out to you, I wish I could make your pain go away, But I want you to know I care, I understand, and I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. Please be gentle on yourself, take care.........RIP sweet Rita, you will never be forgotten and will be held in a loving heart forever!   

I am so sorry you lost Rita. I recently lost my girl, too, I know exactly what you mean when you say a part of your heart died...know that you are not alone if it helps, and remember the good times you had with her. Kitty love is something so special. She will always be in your heart. Hugs. 

I'm very sorry that your dear girl Rita has left you. Do you have photos of her? We would love to see them. It is so very hard when we lose a little sweetheart and I know what you mean about feeling a part of your heart died. There is another part of your heart where Rita where always live on in the love you had for each other.

My heart goes out to you.  Almost everyone here has felt that pain, and we only wish that there was something to say or do that would help.  There isn't, but we do wish it.

When you feel more up to it, please share your girl's life with us, so that we may help you to celebrate the time you had together, as well as to mourn her loss.
