Hello.
My name is Kaelynn
I'm here to gain further information and help figure out how I can better my cat's life .
My cat's Story:
Last month I was put into a situation where my cat needed emergency care because he couldn't pee. Which I thought was constipation issues revealed instead to be struride crystals. My Shiloh needed either to be put-down or flushed out. Of course I picked the later and I cannot afford another bill like that again for quite some time.
Shiloh has gone through much even after the procedure.
The medicine given to him affected his heart and he had a minuter seizure due to it on the second night of his return. He refuses to eat any canned cat food (was like this before) and had resorted to trying a dry-food called Hill's Prescription diet S/D Feline dissolution, something he is suppose to be on for a month to help clear up his bladder- but he refuses to eat it.
(He's only ever had Whiskas dry food, in the past we have tried other brands, dry or canned cat food, nothing. It has to be whiskas or he throws a fit.)
Going back to my Vet we had been given another bag,Hills Prescription Diet Urinary Care C/D multicare, and some appetite pills as Shiloh was in need to eat. Vet instructions was to give a appetite pill every 3 days for the course of 9 days. If Shiloh refuses to eat the mixture by so many hours mix the first day than we should try to mix Whiskas with the first Feline dissolution. We gave him the Urinary Care as he still refused to eat the dissolution, and he gingerly ate a little. So we ended up doing the mix and Shiloh at first ate it happily until now. He's just eating the whiska's and leaving the rest of the dissolution.
I'm at a lost what to do and whatever information or advice given will be extremely appreciated.
Thank you.
Kaelynn.
