I love the little black right in the middle of his pink paw pad

I'm so sorry for your loss. BishBish is no longer suffering now. No more meds, no more pain. I'm sure my Lucky greeted him along with many others.

So sorry to hear your beloved BishBish died.  He was a beautiful cat.  You did the right thing by not letting him suffer.  He is in heaven now and not in pain and whole and happy in heaven.  I feel so sad for you getting hit with this right near Christmas.  I can tell you loved him so much.  You have my sympathy as it will be really hard for you and you will miss him a lot.

Thank u.. dmk129  I feel guilty and the guilty is killing my hearth now.. I feel guilty because his last day wast not peaceful... He wanted go back to home and refused to go.. His stressing killed him almost in Taxi and Enthusiasm was so quick progress.. The Enthusiasm was not planned at that day and I feel everything was so quick... Whe had only two hours of saying good buy to our cat in home.. The whole progress is bothering me right now even though this was best for my cat..  I hope you guys understand..Its incredible how home can feel very empty even though 4 people live there and we have still one cat..

Oh no! I'm sorry, I didn't realize that.

Feeling guilty is part of the process. You're going to think about the "what-ifs" for awhile. I kept wondering what if I'd started syringe feeding him sooner, what if my vet hadn't had an emergency in the family, etc. At the end, they didn't matter, the result would have been the same. And the "what-ifs" will start to ease off eventually. The timeline is different for all of us but it will ease off.

Allow yourself time to grieve though. It's normal and you need to do it. So many of us have gone through it many, many times. But things will get back to normal again. It will be a new normal, but normal nonetheless.

You healed my wounds dear Donutte.. I feel now better
I hope my cat understand our decision

No worries.. This was old pic so she didint have the tumor..It's incredibly hard to notice cats tumors... Even when he started to limps his leg first time.. I thought it was something minor.  The Osteasarcoma tumor was not  even big when we sent him in vet.. It was already metasised in lungs.. This happens mostly for dogs but its metasasis rarely to cats. It also  incredibly    that how fast cat go down.. It was just matter of day when he started not using his tumor leg anymore.. I just wonder why my cat just started to drink water  a lot  and stopped eating food...... Did he suddenly developed kidney problem?

I feel so bad for you.  I know hard it is.  I have 4 kitties I love as much as anything,  Last fall we had to euthanize a 17 year old orange tiger shorthair that was named Patootie.  He was the best cat ever.  He was getting thinner and thinner and he threw up 3 times before noon on the day we put him down and both my husband and I agreed he was going to just keep suffering and there was no point in making that go on and on for him.  We decided that day last October he would go to heaven.  It was the hardest thing we had ever done and like you-we both said what if=what if we took his life and he could have just had more of it with us.  Later we came to accept it was the right thing to do because to let him suffer wasnt right.  He was basically starving to death because he couldnt keep food down anymore.  He was just so hungry all the time and couldnt keep any food down at all.  I know you are struggling but you will someday know you did the right thing.  His tumor was causing him suffering and you released him from that.  I am sure you will miss him for a very long time=but yet will have so many fond memories of BishBish.  What a beautiful cat he was.  I am so sorry for your loss.  You didnt have time to think about it but you did do the right thing.  He is in heaven and is a healthy boy again.  I really feel your pain.  It is the hardest decision we ever have to make in life to euthanize a pet.  They are more than just pets arent they?  They are love.

Thank u dear   dmk 129 for beautiful and helpful words and experience. Rest in piece beatiful Patootie. I just realized today that BishBish  Taxi stress was nothing compared to his home suffering... Even thought he loved home he did suffer more than ever..  In home it was hidden but on the way to the vet it was visible..BishBish was also starving like Patootie... even though he wanted to eat.. He lose weight very fast... In the end he could just eat one small piece of chicken or salmon and Dry food and that was it...He was Incredibly tired..  Its make my heart broke when I see cat suffer..

No matter what, we all feel guilt when we lose a loved one, it is a part of the grieving process. But remember, no matter how much we want it, there is no way to change the past, and it must become something to help us in the future , or to become something we have to learn to live with. It does absolutely no good to go through all those should haves, could haves, believe me, I know, you did what you could at the time with what you had at the time. The main thing to keep in your heart is that your precious one is no longer suffering, there is no way you could have allowed that to happen. He loved you for 18 years and loves you still, that kind of love will never die. Time is the only thing that helps to soften the pain, keep busy, and when those dark thoughts return try to remember the happier times as he would want for the one he loved so much. I cry for your pain, but rejoice that you had 18 years of incredible togetherness. Be gentle on yourself........

That is so true-to lose a cat does break your heart into a million pieces for sure.  I love tuxedo cats like BishBish.  He was a particularly beautiful one.  His markings were so lovely.  You will have to lavish a lot of love on your kitty that you have left now because that cat will also be affected by BishBishs death.  You did 100% the right thing to end his suffering.  It is the best Christmas present you could have given him to be free of suffering and pain and to be in heaven.  I have one older kitty =Boris is 14 now and seems to be failing slowly.  Getting thinner and has a lump on his back and seems like he doesnt want anyone to pick him up under his belly anymore.  He is going blind as his eyes are getting cloudy.  He still remains a happy kitty and is so loving.  I suspect we are going to lose him sometime in the next year.  He may have cancer but whatever he has it is bad and it doesnt pay to put him through a lot of testing when I feel it is something he will never be able to recover from anyway due to his age.  I just want him to be able to live out the rest of his life in a home where he is loved and I hope he goes peacefully in his sleep some night.  I am sorry that your BishBish had to suffer with that nasty tumor.  How old was he?  He doesnt look like an old cat.

If she is making a very plaintive wailing type of meowing-she is looking for BishBish.  She will definitely be grieving his death.  9 years is a long time for them to be together and then for him to be gone.  You may want to show her the kittys body at some point so she can accept that BishBish is dead.  I know that sounds kind of morbid but it lets them know that the kitty has died.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  I know very well how it feels to have others in the house but for the house to seem so lonely now that BishBish is gone.  Give your remaining orange girl a lot of love and attention.  She will feel sad over missing BishBish.

Just give your girl a lot of love right now. And know it's ok to grieve in front of her. I think it will help you both when you do. I don't know if my Sara misses Lucky per se, but she feels the lack of his presence. Maple is a bit anti-social and Lucky was always around in the living area with her. She always comforts me when I cry and I always give him more attention when she does her little cry.

Thank u..

He just walking and then lifting the head up  and meowing..  He jumped Today and yesterday in TV table top and  lifting the head up and started to meowing again..... Its very unusual... He never even hops in  Tv table top.... Maybe he saw his soul?? Or maybe he just grieving... They were not super close like some other cats... Sometimes they both grooming each other then start fighting.. Usually the female ones  get angry after male grooms her and  then he start fight..  One week ago he was very angry at him and I really dont know why... The female tried start to fight with him.. I feel like he was jealous because we gave BishBish Super extra care..

Old pic of him

how pretty!  My Patootie was orange tiger and white too.  It will take a while for the remaining kitty to adjust.  They do notice when another kitty isnt there anymore.  Even if they were not very close=they were in the same house and now there is only one.  Kitty might be doing things he doesnt normally do just to get attention.  It is so hard to lose a kitty.  It always takes me a long time to adjust.  You take care and do some special things for yourself.  You have been though a lot of stress for sure.  You will be in my thoughts.  :-)

Thank u dmk129. Its weird and unreal feeling because they have lived long life with us and shared great memories. Death is part of the life and we need to understand it... What makes me happy is that my cat lived long and  good life but its never enough... We miss them and want them back.. If there is afterlife I hope we can see them again.
