Henry slept on the bed last night for the first time. He's come in to say hello, explore and occasionally, he'll snuggle with Sophie for a little bit but last night, the girls came to bed with me and all of a sudden, there he was. I have a microfiber blanket that was on the bed. It's super soft and he was very curious about it. He started to knead it and then curled up on top of it and went to sleep. He was still there until some fool's car alarm went off at about 5:45 AM and woke all of us up. He got up and went into the living room. That blasted car alarm went off for about 10 minutes before someone shut it off.
Edwina also loves the microfiber blanket on the bed: I don't think she'd sleep there without it! It's one of these, a "retired" Fresh Step blanket that we got free with what we called "poop points": we've had two of them for several years, they get washed weekly, and they're surprisingly durable. We have a similar sort of thing we got at Petco.

Better luck tomorrow morning with the wake-up, ouch!

Back when I first had them I used to let them sleep in my room and in bed with me but as time went on, I realized I couldn't allow them anymore because.....

1. They would tap my face with their paws to wake me up.....AT FOUR IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......on a work day when I'm supposed to wake up at 6am.

2. Meow in my ear to get same result as #1.

3. Constantly moving throughout the night disrupting my sleep eventually affecting my productivity at work.

4. Itchy and sneezy because of all the pet hair and dander I was breathing and sleeping in/on.

......the only place thats off limits to them is my bedroom unless I open the door (morning/evening) and allow them come in and 'investigate', lol.

Of course! I love a full bed of critters. The only area mine arent allowed in is the dining room-thats due to one of mine developing a habit of peeing in that room. Hes still allowed in there...but only on my lap. It takes time to build trust, you know.

I woke up in the middle of the night last night in a strange contorted position. Sat up, and realised my three were sleeping in a row that entirely blocked off about the bottom third of my bed - I had to curl up within the top two-thirds! Good thing I'm not tall!
That sounds like me sooo much! Oscar, Oliver and Penelopy often take up the bottom part of my bed. Other times, they all lay alongside of me or draped across me, lol.

Is there a Yes and No option? :)
Ritz (resident cat for six years, now around 6.5 years old, female )use to sleep in between my legs during the colder months, rarely in the summer.
Now with the addition of a new kitten (rescued from underneath a car five months ago, and now around nine months old; female) Dahalia takes over the bed. She curls around my arm, rests her chin on my arm, sometimes ends up between my legs and has occasionally crawled under the sheets to sleep.
The only time both cats are on the bed at the same time is WAKE UP AND FEED ME TIME--and Ritz hisses almost immediately at Dahalia. Not a match made in heaven, so far....
My best dream is that they both learn to co-exist on the bed at the same time, on or off me :)
(Any suggestions..... :)

Ghibli sleeps on my cheek/neck if i'll let him... he uses my cheek as a pillow. I'm lucky if he goes under the covers and sleeps by my side! (he will do this on the coldest of nights). He usually falls asleep on his squishy blanket on my night stand then I some how wake up to him using my cheek as a pillow and cradling my face and neck with his paws. He is very loving and loves to be very close. I will take the suffocation and the cat scarf, it is just so adorable!

I was told when I got Boris the Siberian, "Good luck if you don't want to sleep with him."  As I understand it, Siberians sleep in large groups to conserve or share heat in the frigid weather.  I like when he curls up on my chest or shoulder.  Diamond likes to sleep on the bed also.

Better than blankets!

Pumpkin has slept on the bed almost every night since we got her. The only exceptions has been when she sleeps with me on other peoples' beds and her first night at the house. We've got two single beds pushed together so she gets a bed of her own when she doesn't want to sleep under the blanket or on my feet.

Nala Ava Marie, on my pillow! She sleeps with me every night. [emoji]128571[/emoji][emoji]128564[/emoji][emoji]128573[/emoji]I leave the bedroom door open so she's free to roam to eat and drink her water and use her glitter box. She has free reign! [emoji]128081[/emoji][emoji]128157[/emoji]

Yes! My Maine coon Kovu 4 months kitten loves to sleep in my bed, I love it when he wakes me up in the morning but sometimes he goes crazy for my hair and lick and eat my hair and stuck his head inside purring loud. It is sweet but annoying at the same time.

Swanie sleeps on the bed with us most nights. He'll start on me (usually my legs when I'm on my back reading), but when I have to flip over he'll go to the end in the middle between us.  He's a 25 pound cat and very long, so he takes up a LOT of real estate!  Occasionally he'll sleep on my pillow above my head.  Cindy used to sleep on the bed (or on DH), and Darcy did for the short time she was with us.  Cricket doesn't want any part of the bed, despite our encouragement.

My spouse won't let the cats sleep on the bed when he's sleeping, they keep him awake. He doesn't mind if they sleep on the bed with me, which is very nice! I work a late shift, so he goes to bed around 9pm and I don't until around 2am. He gets up around 4-5am, so the cats come in to sleep with me when he gets up, the door is closed while he's sleeping, open when he's not. So they sleep with me part of every day! I love having them with me.

I've always slept with my cats in the past, but the one I have now, Mingo, doesn't like to sleep with me very much. He doesn't seem to like my moving around. I've been tempting him with treats, and sometimes it works. In the morning, he hops up on the bed when I start to arouse, curls up close to my face (sometimes over my neck), and purrs and purrs. This is my favorite moment in the day with him and something I look forward to. So my alarm has a purr function.

I share a queen size bed with my 3 cats. Treasure & Shadow usually sleep on top of me or by my side. Treasure prefers to sleep under the covers. Pumpkin likes to sleep by my feet or on the pillow next to me, sometimes he will even sleep behind my head.
