So I am fostering again ( second time). Got a 6 week little guy yesterday. Was checked by vet at humane society... Negative for disease, 6 weeks, 1.5 lbs got deworming mess and first shots yesterday. He has been eating wet food ( not a ton) mixed with a little KMR. Dry is out and available (doesn't touch) water available and he does drink that. He has peed several times in litter box but has not pooped yet. It's only been 24 hours.... Should I worry? I would think he would have to soon.
Advice??
Thanks!!!

I wouldn't worry yet either. But just in case, you could add a little olive or vegetable oil to his wet food. It doesn't sound like he's eaten much, and the worming meds and shots could throw his appetite off. Some kittens are lethargic after getting vaccines. He should begin eating better in the next day or two, as well as pooping more normally.

Are you using a classic pate style wet food? Tiny kittens manage that best [emoji]128522[/emoji].

He sure is precious!

That's good. He should hopefully show more interest soon. Like I said, shots and worming can throw them off (he's so young!), and so can change of environment.

Let us know how he continues to do. Such a sweet little guy! [emoji]128149[/emoji]
