Oh dear yes I can imagine!
Hopefully the iga will sell it, I know my local iga does. Being 4 weeks old you may he able to use something else. Go to your iga and see what they have and read the labels. Also you could call the rspca and ask them what they suggest that is close by.

How have you got on with getting rid of the fleas?

We had an infestation when our kittens were 2 weeks old, we used the frontline spray (speak to your vet about how much to use based on their weight) and treat mum. Also treat your house! We didn't do this the first time (mum Poppy came to us riddled with fleas) and wished we had, so I treated everywhere, even the rooms they dont go in and then vacuumed a few times a week for a month or so. As well as regularly changing the bedding.

Tedious but it got rid of them!!

The sprays kind of expensive where I live so I have to wait till next week to get it as I have no money and that's when my dad gets paid so he's told me he'll buy it and we'll begin the process :)

Just so you know, the fleas will be laying eggs between now and then, so your infestation will grow. My point is that it will likely take a good month or more of diligent and repeated spraying, vacuuming, and treating your cats, as previously mentioned, to get rid of the problem.

I live in Florida, where we are experiencing summer-like temperatures and humidity, which is the perfect breeding ground for fleas, and I have been battling fleas for about 3 weeks now. I am on my second can of spray, and my cats are on their 3rd dose of Advantage. I think one more round of both may do it, but it's been a challenge. Once it gets out of control it's difficult. And don't be fooled after spraying the first time when it seems the fleas are gone. In about 2 days new eggs have hatched!

It's important to treat your cat and kittens too, or eggs continue to be laid and hatch and the cycle repeats and goes on and on.

Good luck!

Thank you, I'm going to bath comb and then spray them repeatedly over a few weeks as soon as I get the spray, and even though I'm in summer weather we've been okay with the weather, there's definetly warmer weather like today where it's 38 degrees celcius which is roughly 100 Fahrenheit but it's going to drop back down to the 20's which is like the 50-60's in Fahrenheit. I think if we were having a constant heat wave that the fleas would be worse but due to not really having extremely hot temperatures that they haven't had a chance to grow badly.

You really need to comb the kittens every day. They are too young for anything sharing their blood supply!

i do comb them or try to but they don't really like it so I lay them down individually and pat them until there relaxed to comb them which doing five cats takes a good 3+ hours so I do it every second day

Hi, all is really well. The 2 girls went to there forever homes and we ended up keeping the boys as we couldn't rehome them.

The boys have been microchipped and received there vaccinations and i'm currently saving to have them spayed. The first is Angus, the second is Roman. :)
