Oh wow, glad they all made it through ok!!!
Thank you so much for the advice, I was terrified yesterday when I saw how sick she was! How long should I keep her quarantined after she starts improving?

Honestly there's not much point to her being quarantined, if she had been out and about mingling with the others up until she showed her symptoms, they have already been exposed to it.

But while she is still out of it she would probably appreciate not having any disturbances while she rests and lets her body work on this intruder :)

Ok. Our oldest kitty, Inspector Gadget, has been waiting by the bedroom door because he wants to cuddle with her. He's clearly upset that she's being locked up! :)

Update on October: she definitely seems to be feeling better though still not 100%. She still doesn't want to get on or off of my bed on her own, but she ate quite a bit and drank on her own!! I've been having to use a syringe to get fluids in her, but she did it on her own this morning!
She even followed me into the bathroom to help me get ready for work like she used to before she got sick!
I can tell her legs are still a little stiff because she still struggles a bit sitting and standing, but she's not limping anymore!

Thank you all so much for the help! She's just had us worried sick!
Oh, more good news: the other kitten still shows no signs of sickness!!!! Fingers crossed that it missed her!!!

Fantastic news that she is getting better. It's following almost exactly the path that Catwoman said it would. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Glad that so far the other kitten is not showing symptoms. However, it may be incubating still, so do keep an eye out.

Yeah definitely watching her closely! I want her to go to a good home this week but I don't want to send her off if she is going to fall I'll like October did. Probably best to wait a bit too make sure she is perfectly healthy :)

You should keep her until she is finished with her antibiotics and completely well.

Yes I agree. However, we do have to go out of town for Christmas for about four days, should we take her with us or see if our friend can watch after her? Our friend works a lot so that worries me that she won't get her antibiotics every 12 hours, but it's also a three hour drive and I'm sure the stress of travel will upset her..

I think you should bring this kitten with you since she is unwell and needs watching and administration of meds. She should mostly sleep in a carrier during the 3-4 hour trip, and can hopefully stay in a bedroom with you.

You might want to have a supply of clavamox at the ready over the holiday in case the other kitten gets sick. Advise your friend who is watching them what signs to look for.

Hopefully, all will go smoothly [emoji]128522[/emoji].

No, you would need to explain the circumstances to your vet and see if he/she agrees.
