New kitten in the neighborhood

I've been lurking here for awhile. I decided today to join. This is a wonderful, informative site. I am usually reading it with my cat purring on my lap.

Thank you. My cat's name is Sabrina. She is still a kitten. She is my avatar. Unfortunately I cannot yet figure out how to add other photos to my posts on this site.

I have tried adding photos. Here's another attempt. This is Sabrina if it works.

What a beautiful black cat.  I love the outstretched arms and squinty eyes.  My black cat, Lucy, likes to pose like that as too.

I am having trouble posting photos from my phone browser. I can do my avatar easily. But photos in posts aren't working. Any tips for using the mobile site for photo posting would be appreciated.

Welcome.  This is a great site.  Lots of informative threads, like you've already noticed, but also lots of fun threads as well.  Sabrina is a beauty, btw.

I had problems at first, also. Hopefully my solution will help you as well.

1. Select the Mountain icon between the paper clip and the @ icons.

2. When the black screen comes up, select your image from the appropriate source and hit submit.

3. Even though the code for the image shows up in the message box, don't hit Reply yet. If the keyboard is showing hit Done first. If it isn't showing, bring it up by touching the inside of the message box. Then hit Done on the keyboard.

4. Hit Reply.

I discovered that I had to select Done on the keyboard before hitting reply or else my image would not go through.

Have you seen the tutorial? Image And Video Tutorial You may have to use a different browser. The Firefox one for Android, for example, doesn't work

It is a compatibility issue. I have a Win phone (8.1). Neither browser seems very compatible with the editor on this site. I can read posts just fine. I can upload an avatar. But everytime I try to upload a photo into a post, other than one time, either it won't show the editor, or it does, I select the photo, and my browser crashes. So I will just do text and change my avatar from time to time.

I also can't do purraise from either browser.

I've got a Windows phone, too. I wound up switching to the tablet to upload photos. The icon for adding photos is there, but the dialogue box after doesn't work on my Windows phone.
