Cat has diarrhea for 3 days now...rice??

Hi all

My 6 month old has had the runs for 3 days now....no changes in diet so seems unexplained.  Has anyone given rice to their kitties and did it help? Any tips/suggestions most welcome please!! :+)

Have you taken your cat to the vet? It could be from a parasite or infection. Has your cat been dewormed? Gotten vaccinated? Gone outside?

Sometimes people give their cats plain boiled chicken and plain cooked rice to help settle an upset stomach. This will not help if there is an underlying condition though.

Many Thanks, I have just given her rice & boiled chicken, so hopefully that will help. She's fully vaccinated & wormed etc so can only guess she ate 'something weird' outside in the garden!

I phoned them  and they said to bring her in if showing other signs of being poorly...she's fully vaccinated & wormed but does go out so must have eaten or drunk something 'odd'.  Thanks v much!
