I have a 16 year old female cat.  She had tests done 3 months ago, she was knocked out (almost literally as she is an absolute nightmare at the vet), she had xrays and full bloods, all came back as normal except for a mass in her mouth that has been there for 2 years now and not really grown much bigger so they basically told me to bring her home and they didn't need to see her again.  It was a bit of a nightmare of a day, when I phoned at lunchtime as I was told to do to see how she was doing they hadn't got near her yet, she was hissing and she wouldn't let them, then at 3pm I was told the same and then at 4pm the same, they eventually held her down with gloves and injected her.  I was in tears on the phone and felt awful that I had left my old girl there, at 16 she's still my baby (and not like that at home).

She was already on a repeat prescription for metacam, tramadol was added to that repeat prescription and she has been on metacam for 6 months and both together for 3 months now for her arthritis.  Anyhow I'm starting this thread because she has started shaking her legs, each one individually after lifting it and before putting it down on the floor.  Does anyone have any idea what this could be?  There's been no difference in her flea treatments, food or routine.  i don;t want to put her in for unnecessary tests and be taking her back and forth with her fear of the vet, it's unfair on her.

Any advice before her appointment next week greatly appreciated, thanks!

It sounds like she may be in pain and an adjustment to pain meds and exam may be in order.  You can google house call vets or ask your vet for a house call vet recommendation to make things easier.
