I have 2 male cats approx 2 years old. I decided to get a new cat, a younger girl, 5 mths old. The cat had ringworm. Mild case, around ears and on belly. I got miconazole antifungal shampoo, washing her every 5 days. I also have oral meds fluconazole, taken once a day. I am also putting on a cream twice a day clotrimazole. I am hoping this is enough. I know I should I isolate her. I used to keep her in the bathroom, but I felt so bad, she was crying all day because she did not want to be alone. So, I gave in and let her out to play with the boys. I watch them very carefully to make sure they don't touch. I have covered my couch with sheets and plan to wash it after she has laid on it. I am trying to be very careful but I'm wondering if I need to treat the boys. They are adults and I read that adult cats are relatively immune to ringworm. The girl is still a kitten, under 1 year and so her immune system is not quite developed and thats probably why she got ringworm. I would really hate to have to medicate the two boys if I don't have to. Has anyone had experience? How contagious is ringworm? I got this cat from a foster. The foster had 7 cats, and 4 of the 7 got ringworm...but, do you think its hopeful that not ALL of them got it. I mean, if I am very careful, can I stave off the fungus? Oh, and I only let them play from the time I get home from work until bed time. I don't let them sleep together, and I still keep them separate when I'm at work. They are only together...at most, 6 hours a day.

Honestly its up to you, and strains of RW are all different.   I have a cat with RW right now, on treatment, but not separated from our other cat or from us at all and no one else has caught it, but its very unpredictable.  Your comfort level is partly what counts, and the knowledge that RW isn't dangerous, just unsightly, more or less.
