Claire is derrived from Clara and means clear and/or bright!
I love the name Claire. I have an aunt with that name!

My name is Tamara Anne. Tamara means Date palm in both Hebrew and Arabic. Well, the Arabic version is actually Tamar. Anne means gracious. Which I'm not.

My given middle name is Louise, after my maternal grandmother. I always disliked it because it was so old-fashioned. I use my maiden name as my middle name now, but it ain't much better. Don't like my given name either, and my current last name is very hard for people to say and spell. *sigh

Middle name is Eula (you-lah). Rarely use it. It's Swedish for Iris. I was named after family and the grandmother of one of my father's best friends.

My middle name is Louise, named after my mom's middle name of Louise and I believe one of her great uncles was Louis so that's how she got her middle name. My first name is Anne named after my mom's sister and dad's sister's middle name Ann, so hence my name: Anne Louise. I have always liked it cause the names were passed down from people that I care for alot and it's an honor for me to have part of their name as my name.

My middle name is Ann. I dislike my first name, Cynthia. That is probably because the only time anyone used it, was when I was in trouble.

Coming from a Southern family, I was always Cindyann, to Granny and Mom. I can live with that but, "Cynthia Ann T-----" meant that I was in deep kimchee!

I DID get appropriate initials, though. Now, my initials are CAR. Since I work for an automobile finance company, I guess that those fit me, too.

When my last marriage broke up, I considered going back to my maiden name but decided to take back my late husband's instead. The only problem is that noone can spell it or pronounce it. I just couldn't marry a guy named Smith or Jones, could I?

Mark and Sam gave the twins odd middle names: Sabian and Jabian. I'm not sure where those came from. I was hoping that they'd put "Mary" and "Esther" in there, for my mom. Sam's mother is named Mary, too. Esther is Mom's middle name. Granny liked the name "Mary" but couldn't come up with a middle name. My grandfather let the Bible fall open and it opened at the book of Esther. Lucky, for her, it wasn't Habbakuk (sp?), Hezekiah or one of the other Old Testament prophets!

I never used to like my middle name, b/c it seemed to repetitive in comparison to my first name. PAMELA LOUISE and when the kids at school found out, they used to call me "Pamela-la-la-la-la-la-la (however many "la"s they wanted to put in) Louise" and they made up stupid rhymes that so didn't even rhyme properly. So for the longest time, I didn't tell anyone. Now I don't mind it. I'd rather have one of the other ones that ppl think up for me lol. Like my aunts and a few of my cousins call me Pamela Jane, or PJ...no idea where those 2 came from, but it sounds better than it looks lol. Oh well. I like my name better than my sisters, whose name is all rhyming, Valerie Marie and her maiden name ended in "ie" too, or my brothers, Clayton Patrick. I don't particularly like Patrick, maybe cuz one of the kids who used to bug me, his middle name was Patrick, and also, there is no connection to the family for it. Oh well. Not my name, not my problem! lol

Mine is: Marguerite (after my grandmother) I know when I was younger I wanted to use that as my first name instead because I thought it was easier to pronouce and seemed better suited for a young girl. Wrong....

I quickly found out that it is not easier and....... no, your parents won't allow you to simply start using whichever name you want in school.
I remember writing: My name is Ghyslaine, not Marguerite 100 times.

And no..... I don't like my middle name either. *sigh* I just wish I'd had a plain, easy to spell and say name.

I dont think I ever posted in here, but my middle name is Lynn.
I've never decided if I like it or not.
Lyle's middle name is Ashly (without the 'e'). He absolutely hates it. So much that he requested they not use it in the ceremony when he graduted High School. Luckily they didnt.

Lacey Lea (pronounced Lee) I like them both and they go well with my last name..also ends with an ee sound, but I got made fun of due to my last name a lot as a kid ( I am studying to be a teacher, so I'll never separate myself from the kids wrath!
)...can't wait to get married to change it.
