Anal Glands or something else?

My cat woke me up this morning and as she turned away, I noticed she had little black dots around her anus. I have a dog whose excrement gets matted in his fur but this wasn't that. It didn't smell and what ever it was, it looked like it was imbedded into the skin around her anus.  They were perfectly even on either side of her anus, little black balls. I took tweezers and removed them from her butt. Are her anal glands swollen, there was no liquid coming out as I  squeezed the little balls out. Of course my cat was ready to kill me for this and on the one side, she ended up bleeding a bit.

Please send advice and help. Thank you.

I'm wondering if she could be constipated a little. It might be poop. Does she eat dry food?

She does eat dry food but these little pellets didn't smell. They were imbedded into her skin, she even bled a bit when I had to take them out. I mean I am hoping it was just some poo.

You should take her to the vet next time you notice something like this.  Not a good area to have bleeding since infection is a big risk.  Can you call your vet and see what they think?

It is on my to-do list as it's almost 1 in the morning here.

I wouldn't tweeze anything, next time. Maybe you could place a wetted, warm paper towel against this area next time, to see if they soften up? Let us know what the vet says? I'm curious.
