My older cat had been sick and had been back and forth to the vet and emergency vet. My younger cat who is about three had anxiety as is and the situation has made it worse as she is very attached to my older cat. she threw up on Thursday ( this is probably the third time in her life) and has not been really eating. Bathroom normal she is playing and everything else ok but food. I don't know what to do. She does not like human food at all. Any suggestions

The cause of her not eating may or may not be stress related but the safest thing to do if she isn't eating by monday is get her to your vet on monday.  In the meantime, try offering her her favorite treats, and maybe the yummiest foods you can offer.  Fresh roasted chicken might tempt her, as might human baby food chicken stage one.

Do you have any calming agents you can use such as a Feliway diffuser or Rescue Remedy?  That should help her de-stress.  You might look into running the diffusers daily since she's already an anxious kitty.  If possible, keep something that your older kitty has slept on near your younger kitty to keep your older kitty's scent nearby.  That might help her de-stress as well.  Lastly to encourage eating, you can try plain meat baby food, turkey or chicken, no onions or garlic and Beech Nut brand if you can find it.  You can also try some classic Fancy Feast canned food and warm it up a little bit to enhance the aroma.  That might entice her to eat.
