So my cat was gone for more than a month. Ive posted posters and no one called. I think my cat was murdered by our neighbor...bec one time he went home with a wound on his ear. I suspect it is the one who has chickens in their home. But that would be the worst case. The 2nd worst case is he was hit by a car. But no remains was seen. 3rd worst case is that he was unintentionally carried away from home since he sometimes bums under the car. I really dont know. But you know..its really hard. I love that cat. Ten yeats from now..i will still remember and ask myself what happened to Hasler. How he was taken away from me. Hence a missing puzzle that will always be with me. Yep. Too dramatic but thats how i really feel...and will feel. Im letting Hasler go. Im gonna start moving on. I wont expect he will come home anymore. Im saying good bye. And now, im gonna battle my pondering on the reason why he is gone.

Halser...youre a good cat. My best cat. We understand each other and you never fail to make me smile whenever you cuddle with me. But good things come to an end. I just didnt expect this early. So..good bye my friend, my brother. You will be missed :(

I'm so sorry your baby is gone, I can't imagine not knowing what happened. That is absolutely the worst feeling in the world.

My heart goes out to you, the not knowing is the absolute worst. If there are no signs of trouble, like blood or hair, that is positive, I would still  check with surrounding shelters to make sure he isn't there, and hang posters around town. He knew love and care in his life, so he had what every cat ever wants in life. He was doing what he loved to do, exploring the great outdoors. I know it's so hard to give up and accept he may never come home again, but that time will come and my prayers and thoughts will be with you. He will always be around the one he loved, your heart will always hold him in that special place. Please accept my condolences and try to go on as he would want you to do, let your precious memories comfort you. Sweet little one, try to bring peace to the one who loves you, wherever you are. You are dearly loved and desperately missed!

I am so sorry for your loss of Hasler.  From personal experience, I can attest to how hard it is not knowing.

I'm so sorry. One of my cats, George, disappeared one night nearly three years ago now. Never a day goes by without me thinking of him. Not knowing is the worst part. I know how hard you tried to find Hasler.

I hope he is still out there and one day finds his way back home to you. If not I bet he's watching over you. He knows how much you love him, you can be sure of that.

This is such a sad story. Im SO sorry. I don't want to give false hope, but thought Id share something that happened to my family's, or one of my childhood cats. We lived in a condominium housing type area where there was a regular, on call, handyman to do anything from cleaning the pool to fixing plumbing problems. Often times he'd leave the back gate to his truck open while working so he could grab tools as he needed. Our complex wasn't the only one he serviced. One day he saw our cat in front of our house and remarked to my mother "geez, Im really surprised to see your kitty". She asked "why's that", and it turns out that our beloved cat jumped into the back of his pick-up cab one day and he drove off to one of his other assignments. Upon arriving at his new destination, about 20 miles away (or so my mother tells the story), our cat jumped out and ran away -and supposedly the handyman said he tried to catch him but was unable. Who knows how hard he tried, or why he never told us what happened originally. However, a few weeks later our boy showed up to our house, business as usual! Ive read other stories of cats traveling great distances and somehow finding their home (even greater than 20 miles). So I wouldn't give up hope completely. And should you never find your kitty again, I'd guess he found some caring, loving person(s) to take him in and give him food, shelter, and love. Im very sorry to hear your kitty isn't with you -but I think you're outlook is positive and 9x's out of 10 good things happen to good people (and good kitties). Im very sorry... but you never know. Stranger things have happened. My other kitty was a stray I found (the kitty who brought me here)... I found out a lot of his past b/c he was "chipped", but not registered to anyone (once he passed I was relentless in calling the shelter who chipped him). Point being, he moved in with me and I gave him all the love in the world. Im sure your kitty will find you or find comfort. Keep your spirits up, as it already seems you are doing a great job in this unfortunate, saddening ordeal. Peace & Love.

I am so sorry for your loss. The not knowing is so difficult. I lost a pet rabbit this way when I was a child. I hope you can take some solace in knowing Hasler knew he was loved.

I will continue to hope for you that Hasler finds his way home, but, if not, I hope he rests in peace. Hang in there.

thank you guys. im feeling better now. on the 6th of this coming feb, it'll be his 3rd month of not being at home. it's kinda feels short at the same time, a long of a time. well, short because i try not to think of him since i posted this so that i can move on and  it's only been three months.  and long bec as an owner and your cat not being with you, thats pretty long time. i accepted the fact that a huge chance he's not coming back. tho i cant really look at his old photos without feeling the pain. anyway, i still keep a 10% of hope inside me that he'll come back since a churchmate of mine told me her cat came home after 4mos. anyway guys, thank you! appreciate your understanding. apparently, we hardcore cat lovers can truly understand each other specially in a scenario like this. I tried to seek comfort to my other peeps but in a nutshell, they thought i shouldnt react this way since it's "just" a cat. But no. he's a brother to me.

Sadly many people don't get to experience the special bond you have with a cat that has claimed you as his. Once in a while go out and stroll around, you never know he might find his way back. I really hope he does.
