My 2 new cats have their second episode of conjunctivitis within 2 weeks.. They were treated with oral antibiotics and it cleared up! But now its back!! What can I do before running to the vet again?

You need to go back to the vet. Until then, keep the eyes from getting stuck closed by wiping them with a warm, damp towel. Do this frequently.

I think you need an ointment. My cat got conjunctivitis this summer, and he was on an eye ointment from the vet for about three weeks. Twice a day.

I agree with this.  Please contact your vet's office and let them know that it has come back.  Also sometimes more than one round or a different type of antibiotic may be needed.  Two of my cats had conjunctivitis as kittens when they had  URI's.  They were on both antibiotics and an ointment.  One of  my  babies had to go through two rounds of treatment with two different antibiotics and  ointments before things cleared up completely.
