Hi!
My foster kitten is both urinary incontinent and fecal incontinent sometimes. He makes it to the box maybe half of the time. When he does not make it to the box..well he really has no idea he is going to the bathroom. He'll just be walking around and doesn't have a clue. I express his bladder several times a day. Urinalysis and blood tests came back normal as did the X-rays. Anyone every experience something like this? He's 5 months old.

That's interesting.  Unfortunately, I don't have any words of wisdom for you, but hopefully someone with experience will be along soon.

Fecal incontinence can result from either spinal issues or communication problems between the brain and the sphincter.  A really good site to help you discuss this with your vet is at https://www.vetinfo.com/fecal-incontinence-in-cats.html

And your kitten is not a Manx cat (no tail) right?

He's not a Manx cat. He might have his tail removed though so he'll look like one! So far for the past two days he has only pooped in the box. Other than Manx syndrome or a tail pull injury I can't find any other known cause for his slight ataxic gait, both types of incontinence, and numbish tail. His brother had a worse gait and worse tail (it had to be removed) but is not incontinent. I suppose maybe they did both suffer from tail pull injuries.

He had his tail removed because he was biting it and months later he got sick. He had an aggressive form of cancer and they helped him pass on.
