What kind of disease goes with the brown third eye of a cat? I have read the article that it may be a blood cancer. Now I am in a panic. Does anyone have the same problem? What should I do?

The best thing you can do is take your cat to the vet to rule out anything. At best, you'll be put at ease if it's really nothing. But if there is something, perhaps it is something that is treatable at this point. I honestly can't say I've ever heard of the third eyelid becoming brown, but it certainly doesn't sound like a good thing. Hopefully someone can come along that has experienced this, but definitely think your best move at this point is a vet visit.

Hi Marrybarry,

Can you post a pic of the problem?  My cat had a problem once with some discoloration, but I'm not sure if it's the same problem yours has.

Either way, you definitely need to see a Vet, but are you talking about 1/3 of his eye, or his third eyeLID?

A picture would be helpful in cases like this.  There are been some cases where cats have had Iris Melanosis, some with Iris Melanoma,  This is on the actual eyeball, not on the third eyeLID.
