Guess what? Just when I lost all hope that Mia was going to eat on her own again, just after midnight I put out food for her and my older cat and was about to start syringe feeding her, and she ran over to his food and started eating it! I had tried putting that one out for her earlier in the day. She woke me up at 4 am crying and I gave her more and she ate that too! It seems like her appetite is finally back, I really hope it continues. Best new years gift ever :)

I'm going to let her eat as much as she wants but I hope his food is good for her IBD. He's eating Soulistic good karma chicken dinner canned food.

Thanks everyone!!! [emoji]128512[/emoji][emoji]10084[/emoji]️

She is still eating and has eaten a lot! No vomit, no poo yet either. She hasn't drank any water at all but there's a lot of gravy in the food and doesn't seem dehydrated so I think that's ok for now. She also really wants to be near me :)

She is still eating! She's still on a double dose of steroids though so she needs to continue when I start to reduce it. Will talk to the vet about that today.

Vet said to keep her on twice daily steroids for two weeks.

She will get her bandages and feeding tube off on Monday!! I can't wait. Her blue sweater smells really bad even though we tried to wash it.

I'm so happy she is getting better after everything she has been through! :)

YAY! You've been such a good mommy and taking great care of her, so glad there is good news!

Total vibes for Mia on Monday.
She'll probably be happy to 'lose' that sweater, too, even if it was practical and useful.

(Maybe those 'bird videos' were the ones that did the trick, as Zed Xyzed had mentioned, they both cheered her up, and got her thinking that she has to eat to gain back her strength.)

Hoping the steroids keeps all inflammation down, and continues to help her in her appetite.
