From what I can see in the photos I would say a brown Mac tabby. Mac tabbies have narrow vertical stripes.

Yes, it is short for Mackerel tabby. I am a soft touch for brown tabbies it seems. We had 2 in our last litter and even though they are both pets (not show cats) I kept the boy and named him Sunny.
