Cat meows when picked up and has a lump

Hi this morning I picked up my cat and she was fine like she always is. But about 10 minutes later I picked her up and she had like a sharp baby pain cry and tried to bite me had off. I felt a lump but I have no idea what it is. When I took a closer look if felt like a rib poking out. I then called my grandma and we touched the spot and she did nothing. But as soon as she left I tried to touch her stomach and she started again. I have no idea what this could be. A broken rib, an abdominal pain, a tumor or just nothing. I hope you can help!

How old is your girl?

I'll be honest, I'd probably take her to the vet. Especially if it persists into tomorrow. That's honestly one thing I won't mess with anymore. You don't want to wait until something else happens to see if it's something worse. 

If you notice ANYTHING else that is off, definitely take her in. Not eating, or not eating normally, personality changes, etc. 

I agree she needs to go the vet. It sounds like she is in pain.
