If you haven't heard of this product, It is a treat in long string form that is chewy. You can either let your cat chase it and eat it bit-by -bit or leave it alone with your cat and it can play with it alone. My cat will play with it for a half an hour before it is all gone! The downside is that it is made of TERRIBLE ingredients. I mean : rice and wheat gluten are the first ingredients

Ah the Pull N Play AKA "Wobbert". I looked high and low to find one near me. I finally got it, set it up and showed it to the kids. I think it would have been impossible for them to have cared less. I smacked it around a bit to show them how it worked. They never touched it once. It's sitting on a shelf next to the 2 Temptations Snacky Mice I got them that they are equally unimpressed with.

That section of the bookshelf has become the island of misfit cat toys.

Edited to add: You should review it! If you don't find it under the reviews, you can ask @Anne  to add it. This is definitely the month to add some reviews!

Neither of my cats had the slightest in this, and I thought the "strings" broke awfully easily.

HAHA no way you guys! My cat loved it. But then again, he loves everything. Any food, any toys. Heck, he'll even try to drink my coffee. I think part of the appeal of the product is if your cat loves the treat. If the cats don't like the treats, it is probably no more than a piece of hard string to them

It would be great if it was a natural or higher quality product treat. the only reason I don't like it because after we ran out of the treats and strings to put on the shelf in my pantry and my husband reached for something and the dang thing fell and clocked my three-year-old toddler on his cheek left a nice mark but he was ok lol.

My cats love the temptations mice, and so when I saw the wobble mouse I had to have it.  My cats like it... they are all younger and get bored during the day when we are away so they like anything they can play with, but I don't like the treats.  It is really hard to get them out of the wobble base part, and as for the strings, they love it when they are poking out of the top, and they immediately go and rip them out... but I think the quality of the string treats is poor... its is a GREAT idea, but with the price of treats, I think they could make them a little better so they don't dry out so fast, and so they are better for the kitties...

My cat loves strings, but I can tell the toy wouldn't interest him. Would be cool if they could clip onto a fishing pole type toy, like da bird.

I might try the strings. How long are they?

I'm not sure exactly how long they are but I'd guess about 8 inches maybe? I just did a review of them. These strings have a very Play Doh like texture- you know how it gets when you forget to put the lid back on? Kinda like that.. I guess they need to in order to make them pliable to be able to fit through the small holes in Wobbert's head. If you can find a coupon for these, give them a try. I wouldn't pay full price for them though. Coupons.com has them sometimes.

I also tried the Temptations snacky mice. The dog swooped in,  dumped them out, hoovered up the treats and left. The cats weren't happy. I had to just give them their treats by hand

I think that the snacky mice will be accompanying Wobbert along with the extra strings to the shelter so their cats can try them out.

This just seems like a bad idea to me. I play with the cats so they have exercise (also they make me laugh) and eating is not a part of it.  It's like nibbling on candy bars while doing pilates, lol.

It's really no different than any other toy that dispenses treats. There are a million of them out there in some form. The strings are just a way to get the cat to pull on it to get it to wobble so the party mix comes out. Some cats like toys like that, others don't. Mine don't care for it. I bet the kittens at the shelter will get a kick out of it though.

I've never seen toys that dispense food, but I don't look specifically for them. The fact that there are "a million of them out there"  like this one doesn't change my opinion, though. Our cats would start expecting treats along with the play if I introduced something like that.

Yeah. Just hit Amazon and put in treat dispensing toy. they make all different kinds. Some are like puzzles that they have to figure out before they get their treat. A lot of them are a lot cooler than "Wobbert". Others are just plastic balls that they swat around that randomly spit  a treat out. I don't like this one either partly because it's bottom heavy and a lot of cats would get frustrated with it and give up on it. That's part of how mine ended up on the "island of misfit cat toys"

I almost ordered this one for them for Christmas but  then though better of it. This is what would happen:

1. I'd set it up and show it to them

2. They'd use it for about 1 minute then they'd ignore it

3. The dog would knock it over and inhale all the treats and I'd get annoyed.

Its less of an "incentive" to me but more of a fun way to feel like they are actually catching something edible. Much like a mouse. I don't use the dispenser. I just use the strings. He bats it around for a long time and chews on it, like he would a mouse. Ghibli is into pretty much any kind of toy and he likes a variety, so these are a fun treat every once in a while.
