This is my first time handling cat pregnancy. We brought in a young stray who gave us a litter of six 6 days ago. All seem healthy and are very active. They fight over the nappies a lot and push/kick each other constantly. Today I was checking on them and one had her left eye wide open. I don't know if this can be normal or if it got forced by a sibling. What should I do?

It's fine.  It may have opened on its own.  Watch for discharge just in case he was kicked in the eye.

It probably opened on its own. Kittens can open their eyes as early as 5 days and as late as 2 weeks. Both eyes do not have to open at the same time.

Does mama cat have plenty of milk for all 6 babies? You should weigh each kitten daily to ensure that all are gaining 6-10 grams apiece each 24 hour period. You may have a runt or two who needs supplementing. Let mama cat eat as much wet food and kitten chow as she wants so that she has plenty of milk for her kittens.

Thank you for helping this stray.
