I'm so jealous. Robin literally will only stay on my lap if I push him down and only then if he's relaxed. Rarely even sleeps next to me if I'm on the sofa.

On the bed, it's a different story, sort of. He'll snuggle next to my arm, my hand, will snuggle under the covers, but never snuggle my neck of chest. Did I do that? He used to, but stopped at about a year old. It's like he became less friendly after being neutered. He's still a sweetheart, but a lap cat? No. Is it because he's too big to fit on my lap?
Mia just started to be a lap cat and it's great but now even I want to eat she wants my lap lol

I was thinking of trying to call in sick today because of my lap cat.  Do you think my boss would go for it if I say "I can't come in to work!  I have a cat and I can't get up!"

Ozzy is so big he really doesn't fit on my lap, but he always manages to squeeze in anyway.

It depends, is your Boss a cat lover???

It's a good alibi to why we can't clean the house!

Lately, Toby has been slowly coming around and becoming more of a lap cat. I guess watching Bugsy reep all those rewards has given him something to think about
I am so happy for you and Toby, another lap cat  :-)

Haha--I sent the photo to my mom and told her I might have to call in sick because of my lap cat and she emailed back:

I’m so sorry about your malady – lapcatitis – that almost kept  you from going to work.  Actually, it’s becoming chronic, so it’s become lapcatosis.  Flares up from time to time.

Hekitty likes for me to "make the big lap (prop my feet on the coffee table)."  If one or both feet are on the floor, she will pat at my ankles until I comply.  It took her forever to get into the lap cat thing, but now I have to pick her up and set her on the floor to get to the bathroom.

It's hard to move when two cats sleeping in your lap, even typing it will take forever to post one

Trying to control the bathroom time or I will wake them up and disturb their beauty sleep time

I am loving it till they change their mind

Iris is literally attached to me at the hip...or arm...or leg...or chest...or neck...She wants to be carried on my shoulder (like I'm burping an infant) for HOURS and will cry and cry when I get home from work until I pick her up. If I don't pay attention to her, she will take a flying leap from my bed at me and fully expect me to catch and hold her. She is in my lap asleep as I am writing this post haha. Also, if a lap is not available, she will take whatever horizontal surface you are presenting to her such as your back, shoulders, legs, stomach, etc. Here she decided to plop down when my boyfriend reached over the bed to pick up something from his backpack and within a minute was happily snoozing away. Many times she has decided to lay down on my back when I am simply bent over picking something up...I have to be careful if I am next to the bed because if not I will soon have a kitty sprawling herself across my bent back hahaha.
