I got this at about 5am this morning when I happened to pass the crabs' tank as I was getting water. It's one of the best pictures I've managed to get of them so far, they're so camera shy. I just wish Nahla had been further out of her shell so you could see her better! You can just see a bit of the striking red on her legs, and Bear turned out looking more brown than deep purple like he really is.

Peanut is the pale orange on the left, Bear the dark one in the middle with the green shell, and Nahla half-hidden on the right. Sorry about the glare on the glass, it was dark and I didn't want to scare them turning on the light. Funny enough they didn't mind the camera flash and just kept playing. I'll try to catch Aries and Gizmo up soon, too, and get a better one of Nahla.

Very very cool! We had hermit crabs growing up. They're so interesting to watch. I loved picking out new shells for them. But getting to see them swap over is super hard. [emoji]128542[/emoji]

I've managed to see mine switch a few times, mostly Bear. He's horribly indecisive about shells. He once spent a solid month switching at least once a day. He likes his green one, though. The trick is just being quiet and patient. They're most likely to switch when they're in a new environment and there's a bunch of new shells to check out, especially if you've just gotten them and they might not have had great-fitting shells at the pet store. The one I get mine from takes really good care of their crabs but they don't always have the best shell selection available for them. Bear and Nahla both came to me in too-small shells, but they're much more comfortable now.

They look so weird without their shells. Kinda like aliens :lol3:

Lol weeeeeeeell........ That's a hard one for sure!!! I sleep terribly anyways due to a bad back injury. On top of the farm.....even worse! I get it in whenever I can. I am usually always tired though. God keeps me going! [emoji]128591[/emoji][emoji]10084[/emoji]️

I have two mostly-black Chihuahuas in addition to my five kitties. We got Sugar back in July (a day before the kittens), and Honey we got just a week ago yesterday. We call Sugar a "Chi-wolf" because we taught her to howl :D

We had a LOT more dogs in the past. When I was a little kid, and my sister was still living at home, we had SO many because she bred and showed dogs. At the time, Alaskan Malamutes and Basenjis. I grew up in a house full of dogs and some cats. The ratio of dogs to cats kinda switched in the other direction over time, and then for about two years, we had no dogs at all. Brandy died in 2013 and then we didn't get Sugar till this year. It's nice having dogs in the house again.

No need to edit the title, LOL  We are all good!

Grizzly's birds and LykaKitty's fish don't have fur either (I don't think?) Unless you count a bird's rictal feathers (or hairs) as fur?

And...and...and.... OMG! There IS  a fish that has fur!  The very rare fur-bearing trout!

Hahahaha well since some hermies, especially males, do grow hairs on their back sets of legs I'm counting them. But I don't care whether they're furry or not, I love them just as much as my fur babies.

I love all of your goats Glory! Especially Buster and Audrey! She is so pretty with those pale eyes and splashy fur. We had a Boer goat for a few years, her name was Speckles and she loved to eat sticker bushes and have shoving matches with us and the dog...her former owners were partiers and used to put on a helmet and get in her pen and head butt with her so she picked up some pretty bad habits lol...it is a lot of work keeping several barn animals cared for around the clock not to mention the other pets too, props to you for all your hard work and dedication!

Thank you!!!!! He looks mean but is actually a big baby!! And yes Audrey is a lush. She is so passive because the others pick on her sometimes. So I've made it known to her that I'm aware of it. And we have a special bond. I sneak her in gum leaves when no ones looking. She and I have a secret meeting spot! Wow! None of mine head butt people. Only each other! Than you much for that wonderful compliment!! Yes it's a lot of work but well worth it! They bring me so much joy! And I'm honored that God would choose me to care for His creations.
