Purraise times infinity!!

My grandparents (mom's parents) used to have goats. They had a certain female that always gave birth on 25th of March every year. All the children of the family (mom and her sibblings) knew that when they would wake up in the morning of the 25th, they would see that goat, next to the fireplace licking her 2 babies. My grandmother used to bring her in the house, cause the winter was really brutal in that area (Northern Greece) and she didn't want that poor goat freezing while giving birth. So, she took her in, next to the fireplace and babies would pop up like pop corns

25th of March is a double celebration, here in Greece.
  1. Because we are Christian Orthodox, we celebrate the day that Virgin Mary was informed of her pregnancy from Gabriel, the archangel
  2. We also celebrate the day that Greek Revolution officially initiated against the Turkish/Ottoman domination
But my mother's family didn't even pay attention on that day!

Lol thank you !!!!! Well you wanted them so bad and you didn't even comment on them....[emoji]128554[/emoji]my poor chivas-Spanish for goats-put on their best pose for you!!! I told them,ok y'all...these are going on the internet!!! So gimme your best hoof forward!! Lol [emoji]128536[/emoji]

Ohhhh my is that not the coolest??!! I totally wish I knew. But that's the price you pay for having a Billy in the pen 24/7!!! I've got a good idea. Sassy will kid within,I'd say ,a week. (Hopefully this side of that week!!![emoji]128513[/emoji]) Shasta and Audrey are in a close running for second. Within two months but more like one. Sadie will be last. Possibly two to three months. But then again not knowing keeps "the element of surprise "!!!

I'm intrigued by the history of Greece. I just love the first day celebrated especially! [emoji]128519[/emoji]

Ps...I'm flying home to Ca for Christmas. So these goats need to get the lead out! But in the safest possible way. [emoji]9786[/emoji]️[emoji]9786[/emoji]️[emoji]9786[/emoji]️

Between my boyfriend and I we have a total of 15 babies, and yes I'm aware we're probably weird for being so attached to fish. We have:

Cats: Maya is now the oldest since I lost my 10-year-old DSH tortoiseshell back in August. She's a 3-year-old black and white tuxedo Ragdoll/DLH mix. Zoey is an 18-month-old white and brown tabby DSH. Aria is a 6-month-old Siamese/DLH mix, a tortoiseshell lynx point. We're planning on getting her a brother or sister around the same age since I'm aching for another baby after losing Isy. I currently have my eye on a 7-month-old female solid black DLH at the humane society.

Dogs: My dog is Sky, a 1-year-old blue merle Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix with we think a tiny bit of Border Collie thrown in. He was a rescue from a shelter who had been abandoned at about 6 months and has severe separation anxiety problems because of it, but he's getting better. He's the wild child (as any of you who know about dog breeds can probably imagine!) but he's a my boy.

The Colony: I currently keep a colony of 5 Caribbean Purple Claw (Purple Pincher is what they're commonly sold as) hermit crabs, 2 females and 3 males. The males are Bear, Gizmo, and Peanut and the females are Nahla and Aries. They're very well socialized to people and LOVE to play with them. My nephew adores them. I'm planning to upgrade their terrarium to a larger one in the near future and get them some new friends.

Tanks: We have 2 fish tanks currently, with more planned. Tank 1 is built around my boyfriend's gorgeous Thai Betta, Mr. Sushibubbles (Sushi for short), and has along with him 2 speckled cory catfish named Mabel and Soos, a huge panda cory named Stan, and a rubberlip pleco named Daniel. Tank 2 is dedicated to a beautiful leopard pleco named Maximus who we're hoping to grow to his full size of close to 2 feet long and keep in his own palace. He's about 3 inches right now, at about a year and a half old. In the future we're planning to establish a betta sorority (all female) tank, a semi-aggrissive tank with angelfish, a similar set up to Maximus with a gold nugget pleco, and a specialized tank for an exotic leucistic axolotl, which is a type of Mexican aquatic salamander. The axie is probably coming first, since my friend is donating his 55 gallon with a stand and hood to the cause and I've been wanting one for years.

Sorry for the massive post. I can talk about my animals forever.

I'll start out with the goats!!!
This is our proud papa,Buster. Aka:Buster Boo! Lol. He is a Boer. (And our late hen,Brenna.)

And here he is with Audrey in the background and Bella. Our old English game bantam. (OEGB)

Here is our bestes mama,Sassy. And her name is most fitting. Although when she's prego, she's an absolute lover!

This is our Audrey. Aka:Audrey Moo Moo and Augie (moo moo). She is Sassys daughter from her second kidding . (Audreys sister died before we actually bought her and Sassy. We wanted all three. Her sister had the same markings but brown and white. We were also informed that Sassys first kidding was also two girls. Only one lived. So if y'all are paying attention, out of three kiddings, she kidded two girls each. (Total of 6 girls) The first two kiddings, one died each. So... Her very first kidding, she bore two girls and one died. Her second kidding, she bore two girls and one died. We have the live one from her second kidding ,Audrey. You follow??? To be continued......)

This is our Sadie. She is Buster and Sassys daughter. Not very good I know. I'll show another picture of her before she got so prego!

And here is the continuation I promised! For the first time in Sassys birthing history, both of her daughters lived! And it was right here with us. So so blessed! This is our Shasta. Just like her mama.

Here are a few of all of them together. (Note:some of these are before all of the does started blimping out!)

Here are a few of Sadie and Shasta as doelings. They were the cutest!
This is Sawyer-2 months,Audrey's son,and Sadie-3 months.
This is me and Shasta a few days old.
This is me and Sadie a few days old.

Audrey also had her first kid in January. His name is Sawyer. He was sold a few months ago. Very hard to do. But only one Billy is needed. Good thing is our friends/neighbors now own him. Here he is just days old. (I haven't any pictures in my iPad of him at 6 months. He looks just like his daddy! Buster...)

I'll be working on the cats next! I hope y'all enjoy! I'm sorry for the delay. My service has a mind of its own. [emoji]128522[/emoji]
Oh, those goats are SO cute! I love the picture of you and Sadie. They all look so healthy and happy! It really does make my heart glow to see them living such wonderful lives where they are valued as individuals!

I in town where the service is wonderful!! I thought I'd send a few more fur baby pics. This is Sawyer and me. He was around 2 months.

Here is Sassy and her daughter,Audrey. This was right after we bought them. Audrey was around 3 months.

Audrey and her son,Sawyer. He was less than a month old.
Buster and his son with Audrey,Sawyer. He was the most friendliest goat ever!!!

Me and Sadie. And me bottle feeding Sadie. I didn't think Shasta was allowing her to get enough colostrum.

Sawyer at 6 months. Right before we sold him. [emoji]128554[/emoji]

Here are a few current pictures. They're chowing down on gum leaves. Which they absolutely love!!!

Buster and Moses our duck.

Current picture of Sadie and Shasta.

Buster being silly. And I just love this one with Sadie and Shastas rear ends peeking out the sides of the tree!!! They were about a month here. Sassys in the background.

Cmon babies!!! Sassy is hollowing out which means she's super close. The kids are dropping into the birth canal. Yay yay yaaaaay!!!!!!

I just wanna come over and get a whiff of 'nature'! One of my favorite smells in the world is walking into a barn on a cold winter night and smelling the straw and hay, and all the different animals smells! We always had horses, so the scent was a combination of hay, manure, horse sweat and leather! Ohhhhh! My nose is twitching!

No, it's not my cat, but I wouldn't mind having him! Just a snarky little picture I came across online.

Tried to edit but passed the edit deadline!
The first picture was not Sawyer. That was our friends goat,Elijah. He was born about blind!!! Our friends were clueless as to how to treat him. So they brought him to me and begged me to help him. He had a severe case of conjunctivitis. (Pink eye) I housed him here for three weeks, with his mother,Niña. I gave him eye ointment treatments three times daily as well as a total of two antibiotic shots. As you can see,he recovered wonderfully!!!

So Sassy is very hollowed out! I'm thinking 48 hours at the most!!!! Of course she IS a "sassy" lil thang and could very well be trying to trick me just because she knows I'm going batty!!!![emoji]128540[/emoji]

I thouroughly agree with you!!! I think the aromas combined are very therapeutical. Calming in fact. And I've always got goat and chicken poo plus hay on whatever show/boots or even thongs I'm wearing!!!! My jacket always reeks of not only goats...but Busters scent. Which if any of you have had goats, you'd know a male urinated on his beard to attract the does. It's considered a mating ritual and is described as "a cologne". Interesting hah?!! So I don't much prefer that particular Omar, however the others do a good job of somewhat masking it!

Are you kidding, hands down to you girl for having a minute to download your precious pics; when you said you had a farm( I believe, hope not confusing u with someone else)you downplayed the managerie you have! Did you say if slept?ha-ha,no really... Goats are sooo cool;very intelligent. My grandfather had several but one in particular really was his bud loved to steal his chewing tobacco out of his back pocket. Those two had a great connection, they actually would argue with each other! That was hysterical And that side of my family is, was, is "IRISH"; Right off the boat, BROUGE and all, very thick tonge. Hope you understand. He had a farm also, so I was tought respect of a animals at birth, so to say the least!Rest Really enjoying all the pics and stories! THANK YOU...

I got this at about 5am this morning when I happened to pass the crabs' tank as I was getting water. It's one of the best pictures I've managed to get of them so far, they're so camera shy. I just wish Nahla had been further out of her shell so you could see her better! You can just see a bit of the striking red on her legs, and Bear turned out looking more brown than deep purple like he really is.

Peanut is the pale orange on the left, Bear the dark one in the middle with the green shell, and Nahla half-hidden on the right. Sorry about the glare on the glass, it was dark and I didn't want to scare them turning on the light. Funny enough they didn't mind the camera flash and just kept playing. I'll try to catch Aries and Gizmo up soon, too, and get a better one of Nahla.

Awe thank you!!! Nope it's me ! Yes they are! They've got such awesome personalities. Each their own individual. I love them each the same but enjoy different things about them. I'm confused on the "did you say if slept?" Part..... Sorry. I AM tired! I get up several times to check on them. My goats will try to eat your clothes off of you! Actually it's just nibbles. I do understand. I've got Irish in me too. You're most welcome!
