Former stray/feral cat still not acting right

My former stray/feral cat is on his last dose of medicine for lungworms and giardia.  He has not thrown up in a few days (yay!).  However, I thought he would be coming out of the closet more, maybe playing with the kitten...but he is not.  He almost acts as if he is still ill.  Does the dewormer take a while before they start feeling better?

He probably feels bad. Between the dewormer broiling up his insides and the new situation, e may just feel bad. Keep his regular routine (feeding and visiting, scooping poops, etc.) for a few days and see how he does.
