Oooh, a ginger tabby and a blackie![emoji]10084[/emoji]️ I love this combination, having had one of each for many happy years. Both Taka and Sir Derp are really beautiful. Welcome and hope to see lots more pictures of them!

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Oh and believe me there will be tons of pictures of these two. We have had Taka for almost two years and was worried how he would handle not being the only kitty but I couldn't ask for it to have gone better. They groom each other, play tag,and lounge with each other. Taka even calls for Derp she he wakes up from his many naps to see where he is. Derp is only about ten months old and was part of the colony we had in our neighborhood that a neighbor started(long story, for another time). Animal control ended up setting traps after she up and left, he got caught. I saw his picture on their facebook page and had to have him home. There is more to Derps' story and I will write about it later, including how he got his name.

SirDerp has no fancy meaning behind it. When he was living outside as part of the colony we had, we would see him do silly things from time to time like chase raindrops and frogs and lay in the middle of the street. My sister started telling him to quit being such a derpbutt and get out of the road. He would happily leave the road and go play. We just started calling him derpie, or derp and it stuck. When he came to have his forever place here we decided to keep Derp and since we cal Taka his highness its was only fitting that he have a knight at his side so Sir was added to his name.

Hee, my older cat we call a knight, so when I got him a kitten for a friend, we called him the squire. We're going to promote him to a knight eventually though.
