Okay so I'm fifteen and I get this cat in January and she was for weeks old, and she's a big cat now and when she was younger I think about may she jumped the fence and sadly there was a pitbull there and the pitbull cornered her in the corner of their house I had to go get her and she was terrified and my mum just got this eviction letter today and I'm really scared because I don't wanna loose her she's really close to me and she doesn't even like me leaving for a day she meows and everything. The only family house we can go that allows animals is my grandfathers and he has 2 dogs they are small one is foxy Chihuahua cross names suey and the other is foxy chihuahua jack Russell cross names ruby. Suey is an old dog and has been brought up with a cat so she's fine but ruby on the other hand I'm worried about because every time I go over there and there is a cat in their yard she chases it so I don't know how what to do either introduce them which I don't know how need help on that to or just give her away she means the world to me and I don't wanna give her up I really don't I'm really desperate

This is a very sad situation you are facing. I can tell you my own experience. One of my cats was caught by dogs when she was very young, and almost killed. I just rescued her in time. For years she was terrified by dogs and I could not have one in the house. Then I decided to try it properly and I got a rescue dog, quite alrge one - a sheepdog. I introduced the dog very carefully tot he cats and for a long time the dog could only sleep in the hall and only be in the house on a lead. But slowly they began to tolerate each other, and some of the cats really began to be friends with Honey (the dog). 3 years later, even Ellie (the frightened cat) will sleep in Honey's basket with her. But it has taken a long time, and Ellie is still terrified of other dogs. As for Honey, she has always loved the cats and plays with them very gently.

You might find that the Jack Russell will never come round. As a breed, they are born to chase prey and kill rats, and many of them will never tolerate cats, or will chase them as soon as the cat runs away. It is instinct. But there are exceptions - I have a friend who had 2 Jack Russells, one of whom would cuddle up witht he cat, the other would chase the cat away.

So you will have to take it all very carefully, given the history of the cat and the breed of the dogs. Both may cause difficulty, and I do not think you should expect a quick solution. Good luck.
