Hello there!

It is the first day of December!

What food(s) do you dislike the most?

For me, it is anchovies and wasabi. Can't stand them! I think they are so awful. Would genuinely uncontrollably make me borderline puke, wail, desperately get every nook and cranny out of my mouth and get a bumload water
and if possible, stuff  another piece of food or sweet in there to finalize the rid of taste. I do have dislike for other things, but can deal with those just fine - these two are the only ones where I actually react poorly and do something about it.

And I otherwise I highly enjoy seafood and Japanese food.

I have weird texture issues with food.

Some of my most hated things are:

-Bananas - strings!
-Yogurt/Oatmeal with Fruit Chunks
-Okra
-Anything on a Wooden Popsicle Stick - I eat around the stick, and can't lick the last little bit off. I feel like I'm going to get a splinter in my tongue. *shivers*

-Pumpkin Pie

-Coconut (hate the flakes, like the flavor)

-Soggy Cereal - Must be crunchy. Once it hits the soggy stage, I gag. Grape Nuts are ALWAYS soggy.

Honestly can't think of anything off hand.  I eat pretty much everything, and even things I might say I dislike on the surface, turn out not to be so bad if prepped in a certain way.  Like for instance, I'm not a fan of raw fennel, but if it's cooked down I enjoy it.

Tomatos - I'm ok with ketchup, pasta sauce, pizza sauce, etc but not fresh tomato.

Couscous - It's a texture thing, like eating a mouthful of sand

i agree with @sivyaleah. it can depend on how things are prepared, if i like them.

i tend not to like aftertastes. so raw onions, cooked liver, and foods that leave a strong aftertaste in my mouth are things i don't like.

i've also been developing a strong dislike of sweet green peppers, though only when they're cooked like in a recipe. i like them raw like in a salad, but in some recipes the cooked sweet green peppers simply take over the flavor of the dish. though i love stuffed peppers, and i use sweet green peppers when making that.

then there's smoked items, which i didn't grow up eating and probably as a result have never liked. the same goes for kale, collard, and mustard greens.

The only way I will eat eggs is as an omelette.  I will see chefs on TV putting eggs with runny yolks on so many things because it's supposed to add richness when the yolk is broken, I cannot stand runny yolks.

I am a basic person. I have never eaten a lot of exotic food. Being from the South, I eat a lot of comfort foods. I can't think of a single thing I don't like. I eat all fruits, all vegetables, any commercial meat, some wild venison, dove, ducks. Gosh, I just like to eat. :lol3: I don't eat many desserts anymore because of a gluten free diet, but I am not saying I don't like them. When I ate them I liked them all. :lol3:

Raw celery. I cook with it a lot in soups, stews and other dishes, but I just can't eat it raw. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is shashimi (which is raw fish - most people mistakenly call it sushi, but sushi doesn't always contain fish).

Mayonnaise.... Yuck
Sea food. Just the smell of it disgusts me.

I can't eat burnt foods, or blackened in any way, I can't handle the smell of them, either. The smell of burnt toast will put me off of food for hours. I also don't like a lot of sauces, aiolis, melted cheeses, runny eggs, goopy stuff all over the plate. I don't really care for bread, especially the grocery store sliced kind. I'm like a 5 year-old and cut the crusts off of my bread.
